gotta love that one bassline from 2:33 to 2:37...he probably came up with it for the recording but it would've been truly badass if it were impovised on the spot
i think part of adam's inability to reciprocate his own recordings is in the fact the he concentrates so much on the mic twirling and shit during a performance, whereas fazzi is just layin out his voice. i wish sometimes adam would chill out and just sing the songs instead of flailing around... but then i havnt seen them live in a long while and i dunno how exciting it would be if he just stood there and sang...
Fazzi is fucking amazing, hands down. I prefer the version of New Again/That is Quite Enough TBS played with MCR at both Philly dates and Madison Square Garden on MCR's last tour. It was much more upbeat. They slowed the tempo considerably in the newer version. And I think the title should stay That Is Quite Enough. Probably because I hate when bands make their album title the title of one of the songs on the album as well.
dude dont take this wrong..and die hard TBS fans are gonna beable toknow what im talking about...at 1:25 u can hear fazzis voice crystal and its more pitched and clear than Addams..lol. like REALLY good adam needs to stop recording notes he cant hit live..and you KNOW what im talking about.haha. and if hes gonna do it he has GOT to stop smoking.
yeah, I love TBS I have three TBS tattoos but man when it comes to being live the songs sound quite a bit different then the actual CD. But it's still awesome to see them live
i know what you mean, but i think he can get away with it if he screams them. it can sound kinda rough at times, but i dont think hes going to stop doing it lol
Agreed. Adam can be every bit as good as Fazzi if he stops smoking, but at the moment he's killing his voice. Unless he wants to go for an Axl Rose style rasp. :P
it mostly depends what kind of sound you're going for...in a lot of ways smoking can make your voice sound better...but if you have shitty breath management vocal technique, and posture when you sing then, yes, smoking will indeed screw your voice up that much more.
Thats not what hes going for though. Hes going for that laid back vocal style where he wont hit every note. I think thats what makes Adams voice unique.
YES! And I'm tired of all these stupid fangirls giving me negative comments and thumbs down for saying so! It's a fact that Adam isn't that great at hitting those notes. Yes, TBS is an awesome band, but let's not deny the obvious because you just hate all insults against your hero :P hahaha
"We have a song called "Winter Passing' on the record — it's unlike anything we've ever recorded," Lazzara said. "It's almost R&B-like — the last song at a middle school dance," he said with a laugh. - Taking Back Sunday
where did you get that quote from? i know they said it sounded like an R&B tune during the rolling stone interview but they didnt say anything about the song title.
you guys dont know shit i was at the show and it was a crazy ass show even tbs said they loved coming to los angeles cause they have the loudest fans... (they had a technical difficulty during the song)
seeing as i wasn't fearing for my life in the pit and was actually able to breathe, this show was not as crazy as they were in the past [shows i've been to]
i don't think it was tbs's fault..i heard the crowd sucked, and i see that you guys are saying that too.. I guess since people weren't rocking out, TBS didn't find the need to do so...what a boring crowd..
either that, or there just still a bit nervous because of the transitions and Faz (:
i love INC but their set list sucked: they only played 2 songs from New Morning, Changing Weather and none from survival sickness. All the others were new and/or i didn't care for them.
And yes, i agree, this LA crowd was totally dead. especially during INC and more than i expected for TBS. I was right next to the mosh pit, so it wasn't that dead.
LA crowds are usually the best and OC crowds always suck.
Matt rules on bass it is ecspecially awesome on this album :D

hmm, really? i could have sworn they introduced this song as "new again". besides that, it is said on the song a few times.
sugarjess 3 years ago
i wouldn't say (you could be right thought) its called quite enough because they tend to take album titles from the lyrics, rather than song titles.

This concert was pretty weak for TBS standards. INC Rocked much harder than them, it seemed.
Plus, the LA crowd sucked serious ass.
