  • X pipe is definitely the way to go on gts.

  • 1998 mustang gt 5 speed only 70,000 miles for 4 grand, good deal?

  • @almie54 ....if the car hasn't been modded out (heads, cam, stuff like that) and not abused.....then yea excellent deal!!!....cold air intake, headers, exhaust are normal mods, but heads intake manifolds and cams show that the owner wanted speed, and most of the time means it was driven hard....

  • is this an auto?

  • @MrAce987 no, 5-speed

  • @GTForTheWin ok. i need to get a manual.. they are so much better.

  • @KawaFord27 lol... damn!

  • it would have been pretty badass if he would've just dumped the clutch and hauled ass out of there.

  • Is that with stock headers?

  • Sound like a beast want to be set free......NICE WHIP

  • Seriously, I think you revved it enough, damn.

  • roar!

  • sounds too good love them x pipes

  • y the hell does everyone just sit there and rev the engine? take off hard in that fucker or drive by at 60 wide open. I want to hear that shit scream!!

  • Now drive away!!! ....lOve it bro sounds good!!

  • sound slike the most bad ass lion roar ever lol but really good job/great sound wish i had a gt....stuck with a 6

  • u didnt even take off u pussy

  • sweet i dont want to spend 400 on a catback when i can just weld in the muffler. sweet mines lowered too 1.75 and the stock cats scrape on speed bumbs already haha. do you think your GT was pretty audible?? it sounds like it based on ur video

  • those were just the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers? or is that the complete catback? i want your exact setup i like it a lot and it looks like you dont have any clearance issues w/the bbk x pipe which is good

  • @09portillo Those are Flowmaster 40's welded into the stock exhaust tubing but sound wise it's pretty much the same thing as getting the whole catbacks. No, I don't have any clearance issues and my car is lowered about 1.5 inches.

  • Wow man free revving is hard on the motor! Sounds great though!

  • after the first 5 revs I think we got the point lol. pretty nice sound, but the only exhaust I would ever put on a mustang is a SLP Loudmouth, more intimidating than any exhaust out there.

  • @BmoreGT one day you will learn that louder doesn't always mean better sounding.....slp is a nice product but their stuff sounds like a truck on mustangs.

  • @BmoreGT shut the hell up. that sound never gets old

  • is it a 4.6l or a 5.0?

  • @skmintdipper39 It's a '98, Ford stopped making the 5.0 in '95, so the car in this video has a 4.6L.

  • How much of a difference (sound-wise) did the X pipe make?

  • A lot more than you would think, actually. It made it a little louder and a LOT more aggressive. Just like everyone says on the forums...its more of a raspy/mean sound than the stock or an aftermarket h-pipe. If you get an offroad x-pipe there will be quite a bit more of a difference than just the catted version which is what I have here.

  • @GTForTheWin great sounding GT. I have a '98 GT with a BBK off-road X-pipe with Flowmaster 40s, no cats. It sounds mean as fuck.

  • oh man im getting a stang. fuck the tuners.that was so beast.

  • yea u can throw as much money as u want into a tuner but if you throw just as much money into a mustang it will kill everything lol

  • If you get SLP Loudmouth 2s it will sound alot louder and deeper.

  • slp's loose power from what ive read. they do sound great i had em on my ws6 but they were way too loud swapped em for magnaflows

  • dood that is bad ass

  • WOOOOOW exciting video, fuck me

  • O I wouldn't think that it would really make that much difference being catted. But I'm looking to do a PI swap on my car as well

  • Hey I have the same Exhaust setup BBK O/R X-Pipe Flow master 40's. How come mine does not even sound as deep as yours. What all have you done.

  • I have the catted version of the x-pipe. Other than that I had just a filter and no other engine mods at the time i made this video. Now I have a PI swap though, and that made it even deeper than it is here.

  • nice !!! but i have a grand marquise same 302 like a stang what do i put on it to sound like a stang help me!!

  • thats not a 302, its a 281, but they can sound about the same if u take the cat off and put glass packs on it. that should get u started

  • i men i will buy a flowmaster to for my mustang

  • i live in oklahoma and my insurance on my 98 mustang v6 is $545 a month...its because im 18,,,and i got 3 no drivers license tickets,,,passing in a no passing zone,,,and 2 speeding tickets one of them in a construction zone

  • Good. You are clearly a moron and have no business on the road.

  • stfu

  • dude dont talk shit its called being young you dick head.....

  • I'm not talkin shit, I'm tellin' it how it is, youngblood.

  • Well I pay 370 for 6 months and I am 21.

  • how much did those cost?

  • someone asked a long time ago but i never saw the comment...the heads and intake were 350+100 dollars for shipping from a guy up north that took them off his 02 gt to do a 4v swap

  • They're sitting on the garage floor actually :] Now I'm just waiting on gaskets, bolts etc

  • Never been a fan of revving my engine that high without a load, but it sounds good. Get some PI heads, and do the swap!

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like an absolute beast

  • Sounds amazing

  • badd ass sound i dont know if i should get a x pipe or a hpipe someone help me please

  • it depends what your looking for. H-pipes tend to give you more low end power and most people prefer the sound because its deeper and more of an old muscle car sound, while x pipes net a few more horsepower and have more of an exotic sound to them. Both are good though and you can't really go wrong either way.

  • x pipe

  • wow you need to put a set of flow master 40's American Thunder... I have a 1969 Firebird 400 4 speed and i have the American thunder and it sounds great...

  • That's what I have on there, paired with a BBK High Flow catted X-Pipe

  • As for the insurance, I am 17 and its around $220 for full coverage.

  • Hey what insurance company are you with dood?

  • Eh, well I now have an 08 GT, so it has spoiled me some lol. Its definitely not slow, but it could use some more power. What you could do is get a 96-98 GT and do a PI head and intake swap from a 99-04 which, other than some minor modifications to exhaust and tuning, basically makes it equivalent to the 99-04 GT. If you get the parts from a salvage yard and do the swap yourself, you could get about the same power for the money. Plus people dont expect as much power out of the older stangs :]

  • Yea, I'm having trouble remembering where though... :-\

My dad wouldn't allow me to get O/R pipes, otherwise I would have. He was afraid that they were going to start emissions testing soon.....In ALABAMA lol. But now that its no longer up to him, I would go for O/R pipes. half the price and much louder and aggressive sounding.

  • Though dont forget MIL eliminators, and preferably a tune if you go that route.

  • yea O/R is real cheap, and sounds better but stupid smog checks

  • are you satisfied with how fast it is? im thinking of getting a mustang GT sometime soon and im trying to decide if i should go with a cheaper to buy/ insure 96'-98' or a faster more expensive 99-04, also how much are you paying for insurance if ya don't mined me asking, im 18 so i know its gonna be high

    thanks

  • hey man just my imput on this get a 99. i own a 98 gt it is a flawless loud car that can dust off imports and most domestics. only problem i had to put alot of money into the top end because the 96-98 dont have the power improvement cylinder heads. get the 99 much easier and cheaper to put mods on. im 19 and im in the army so im nc but im registered in mass and they fuck u in the ass on ins and i only pay 170 a month for my 98 so im sure a 99 wont be too much more.

  • 170 a month is insane, i might have to look for something like a 93-97 Cmaro Z28 or a Firebird, just to get my insurance down

  • im 20, i have a 93 cobra and i pay only 260 every 6 months. fully covered. youll find a good deal. just gota look.

  • weird, i found a 97 cobra (with the engine from a 04 cobra but the insurance company doesn't need to know about that) im gonna have to pay 163 every month (with $500 deductibles) but im 2 years younger than you so maybe that's it

  • yea, alot of insurances will lower your rates depending on your grades in school too. look at that.

  • i am 18 and own a 98 gt my insurance is 144 a month and thats full cov.

  • hell that's good, i'll be driving around my dad's 08 v6 till i save up enough money for a decent gt

  • i plan on owning my 98 for about year or 2 so i can pay off the loan and bulid credit since im only 18....then im gonna trade her in for a 2008 Mustang GT

  • Thats hard to believe man my sister is paying 342$ a month i think your full of shit. Some insurance companys wont even give you insurance on some sports cars if your not old enough.

  • mine is $120 a month full coverage 02 gt im only 20

  • What state you from.

  • Thats some bullshit. Im 17 - 99 GT and pay 210 a month for liability only. Cock suckers want 500$/mo for full coverage

  • My own policy btw. Im not on my parents coverage.

  • Hey, we all went through it. Just be lucky you have a nice car at such a young age. When I was 17 I had a POS '92 Ford Probe, the insurance co. considered it a "sports car" because it was a 2-door. I paid $1600 a year for LIABILITY ONLY! I'm 28 now with a '98 Mustang GT, I pay $560 a year full coverage. Keep your record clean and it'll pay off.

  • @unconcealed:

Don't feel bad, kid; I was 19 way back in '92 and bought a brand-new '92 Camaro RS (V6 at that). $275/month for full coverage. Inflation probably takes care of the remaining $225. $205 for the car note + $275 for insurance = not much left at the end of the month.

  • it would have been $400 a month if i got my own policy but just got added to my grannys insurance so it would be way cheaper

  • Yeah i was about to say no way it would be that cheap at your age.Thats what my sister did was added on to the policy

  • Don't call me full of shit when YOU don't know what the hell you're talkin about. How much do YOU pay? Insurance cost depends on several factors. I am an A student going to college on a full tuition scholarship, and my parents have been with the same insurance company for a LONG time with a good record and I am on their policy.

  • Dude your stupid i wasnt even talken to you fool. And also you couldnt afford insurance if you had your on policy you better be glad that mommy and daddy put you under there name smart ass.

  • Where did u buy the BBK X pipe? online?

  • nice sound. i need to do a video on my 98 gt mustang and my 91 gt

  • blow that muthfucker up i what to see you do it

  • excuse me?

  • Seriously, what the fuck are you trying to say?

  • headers?

  • No, only engine mods are the x-pipe, flowmasters and a K&N filter.

  • nice

  • now why can't everybody rev their cars like that. nice video!

  • because its really not good for your engine to be revving it up like that

  • Of course its going to put wear on the engine, but then again, so does driving it lol. I could let it sit in the garage 24/7 if you'd like?

The only way revving it up like that puts any REAL wear on the engine, is if it has a load on it... As in the transmission is engaged and putting stress on the engine. Obviously, its not.

  • high flow cats or O/R x-pipe?

  • high flow cats
