Whats ALL the differences in a prosumer, consumer, and pro cam? Like what extra features would a pro cam have cause i know some tiny camcrders that have better quality then DV tape cams that are larger? any help?

like hte only thing thats really missing from this cam is the xlr.... I dont like using extensions, and adapters... you loose one on hte spot, you need it, youll die....

agreed the sound sucks, but the image quality at 1080i is the sharpest thing i have seen maybe my eyes are just blessed..

oh no, the sound quality for me is good, cuz i attach a separate mic, and also I jsut want an XLR, so it could be remote like on weddings, you can put 3 on the preist, the bride and the groom...

but lol, i dont think ill be shooting weedding yet.... XD!!! it fun for my video projects though... the camera is totally awesome.... jsut that one piece missing....

I was not trying to be funny or a smart ass, I really want to see a UFO in a real good quality HD video, i want to see it zoom in up close ,so you can see all the little details on it, like if it has little electrical veins on it that pulse around real fast or little moving hair things that have some kind of little glow that we cant see and where that lite is coming from ? and where it gas cap door ?

no it doesnt if you are looking for that you need to go with the canon, the sound isnt really good on this camera or I havent figured it out yet

that's probably a dealbreaker for me then. They make a "professional" version of the FX1 though, called the HVR Z1U, that has XLR outputs. It may be more expensive though..

I have a fx710 HC hi 8 with a dirty head

I tried a cleaning tape but with poor results. Picture quality is not the same when I bought it new 15 years ago.

I`m using AZDEN SGM-1000 is high sensitivity low noise,wide frecuency response;highly directional pick up pattern etc.go to the internet and find more details.

But I also use THE BEACH-TEK DXA-FX audio adapter for external mikes and I got pro audio into my baby FX1.
