Let's assume not 100% of LGBT individuals are born that way and, to at least a little extent, environment plays a role. (For example, I don't know if bisexuality is completly innate, especially female bisexuality in Western culture) Having gay marriage will normalize and reduce barriers to being LGBT. Removing barriers, will, over several generations, could see a higher percentage of the population "deciding" to enter this group or act on certain attractions - like men of ancient Greece did.

I have friends who are gay and i have told them this too, i only have a problem with gay marriage within my religion because i believe that my religion is against gay marriage but only within the religion but outside of religion i see no problem with gay marriage.

In the end, it all comes down to choosing between what is right and what is easy. Of course, it's easy to dismiss a lifestyle you don't understand or makes you feel uncomfortable. In the end, it all comes down to choosing between what is right and what is easy. Of course, it's easy to dismiss a lifestyle you don't understand or makes you feel uncomfortable. But that doesn't make it right. Eh, I wouldn't say I moved on to other means, I gave up on the girls and sought the guys, but I had always secretly wanted the guys. Even when I was little I remember having feelings of attraction, not at all sexual, for older guys. I have many theories to what causes homosexuality, but I know you are born that way or you become that way early in life before you even begin to think about sex

I would be fine with Civil Unions, it is a step toward Separate but Equal, and if they would allow joint tax returns like marriages do and if the federal government would recognize them. Everyone can call it a Civil Union but I am still going to ask my boyfriend to MARRY me. lol

Well I can only speak for the guys, I only know one girl who says she's bisexual, and she is just realizing it so who knows where she'll go. I've also read studies that say that women are turned on by sex because of the intimacy, say, they've shown heterosexual women both straight and lesbian porn and they were turned on by both (checking raises in heart rates). Men only responded to either straight or gay porn. I guess what I mean is that there is only one sex that people want to marry.

And I think there is more to sexual orientation that just physical, sexual attraction. Straight people (men and women) find people of their sex attractive, and they love their friends, but I don't think they're attracted to them the way they are to members of the opposite sex.

Widespread acceptance of homosexuality will result in there being more homosexuals... you know why? because fewer homosexuals would be committing suicide from being harassed about something they have no choice in. 33% of all teenagers that commit suicide are homosexual males, while they make up less than 5% of the teenage population. Also, maybe people would choose to seek what they really want in life, instead of living a big lie. Are either of these things bad?

I was referring to all of the people who are homosexual but still marry someone of the opposite sex just because that is what society wants. I personally don't believe anyone is bisexual though... every homosexual goes through that phase, I think, but truly, everyone prefers one sex to the other. Anyone can have sex with anyone, but people can only become emotionally attached to people of one sex.

I know I'm not, but I've observed others behavior, and many of such persons who identify themselves as bisexual. It's always one of two things:
1. I'm bi, but I like guys better.
2. Guys are only good for sex, but I get emotionally attached to women.
