  • Great playing my friend. Curious to know what guitar type it is and amp type with the settings. Not trying to copy, just helps me understand where to find the 'sweet spot'. God Bless you.

  • jake, you have done a lot of great stuff, but this is a real little pearl, thanks!

  • I've been really impressed by your videos! Is there's any chance to see a song play on acoustic guitar in the future? Now I'm sure the reason there's none is that you prefer electric, as simple as that, so you can say NO, I'm just asking out of curiosity. In any case, great job.

  • cool!! peter cetera is one of my favorite singers!

  • wow really good flow in this one

  • Another winner, Jake! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your arrangement.

    Fri

  • really nice

  • I really am going to have to grab some of your instructional DVDs. I wonder, will it be too much for me as far as technique? I play a fair amount of jazz standards, and do classical work (Tremolo, arpeggios, routinely ready sheet music). Lately I've been focusing on Blues, and 6 string guitar sweeps. I do have a couple of guitar instructors (One holds a Doctrine in Jazz) I still would like your opinion of how an average - to advanced guitarist would pick up your music, like a time/practice frame

  • Amazing!!

  • Nice groove there Jake, enjoyed.

    JAW

  • Thanks!

  • Hey Jake you beat to this one.I wanted to work an arrangement for this for ages but I know I couldnt have done it better this.

    Best Wishes

    Stu Clark

  • Thanks very much Stu, I'd love to hear your version, I really enjoy and learn a lot from other great player's approaches.

  • I love this melody, and you give me a chance to listen an amazing version Jake.

    Thxs so much.

  • Thank you so much:D i realy love it!

  • Great Jake, one of my favorites from the Chicago period, very nice composition, all is there: the melody, bass great harmony. Yes Indeed the guitar as a mini orchestra that's also my goal which I'm working on as you know. Hey no Google-Adds next to your Video, you're lucky this time not to participate in Google's new device: Putting free adds next to great musicians getting lots of free promotion for their advertisements, smart chaps.

  • Hey Jake, just incredible. When you start working on a song, how long does it take for you to dissect the parts and have it down for a performance? Also, do you ever have to change keys to adapt a song for solo guitar? Thanks. Pete

  • Thanks! I don't prepare anything, I just start playing any song that pops into my head on the gig. This is possible because after doing it for so long I have a sufficient vocabulary of fingerings/voicings to go with any possible melody note. On one hand this is good because I can play songs on the spot (If I know them). It is not so good in that I use many of the same voicings over and over and I wish sometimes my "arrangements" were a bit more imaginative or special...

  • @jreichbart I think your arrangements are definitely special and imaginative. Wish I could play them!

  • This is so beautiful.

  • awesome....your gifted to much..

  • Way to go Jake! Your style is very refreshing and pleasing to hear! Great guitar playing!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • Ingenious "echoing" effect from the amp there.

  • sweet.

  • amazing as always... great style mate... stay musical! cheers :)
