Hi! I want to make some Jumping clay but I wanna know, does it have a slight squishy-ness to it once it's fully dried?

And if it does, will squishing it ruin the shape?

I want to buy jumping clay but I'm saving up for something else is it ok if I mix white jumping clay with a little bit of paint or food dye?

Hi there! Yes it's perfectly fine! Just try a little first. Make a little bowl with the clay. put a little paint in the 'bowl', Watch the clour change, Stretch the clay to enable the paint to be mixed in. However, your hands will have paint stains as well. Try not to use it immediately. Put it in the container for about 30 minutes to let it air itself a little before using.

@xinhui98 Are they sticky ? I bought it at a crafting store in Jurong point too, but not popular. Mine is sticky as hell, and hard to work with. I hate it, Are yours sticky when you open the sealed ?

The clay at daiso is not like the JC type. They are mostly paper-based. (have paper qualities in them).

@mascotboi555 I also noticed that. It seems that recent batchs of Jumping Clay are so very sticky ;-(

What i do is i roll them on my palms and / clay mat to dry them to a level that is suitable for doing the project that i am doing. The heat from your palm will dry them and rolling them will dry them. I hope this helps. Any other queries. you can email me leonardkok@yahoo.com

The main difference is this: Polymer clay needs to be cured in an oven. Jumping Clay is an air-dry clay - it dries by itself. Cheers!

how to you make it not stick on the surface you're rolling it on? everytime i finish flattening it i cant remove it from the table T.T

Remove it quickly by flicking it off the table; or use a non-stick board or use some oil to apply on the table before rolling the clay.

I love jumping clay, it's very fun to play! My problem is it dried out and I don't know what to do to soften it. Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you for your complments.First thing - please keep the clay in an airtight container. It's important, considering the fact the the price of the clay has risen!

If you want to soften it, you can - have a moist cloth cover the clay in a container. Leave it overnight. It will soften - then you need to (depending on the hardness) - pound it just like you would a new piece of airdry clay. Press it, pound it, pull it, stretch it many times. It will become usable again. Hope it helps.

Hi Ritchell, You sure can. However, i cut small portions if i need them. For big portions, you may handle them like you would for big slabs of earth clay or air-dry clay. Cheers!

sometimes if the clay is too moist, it may stick to the knife. It's different from polymer clay.

NO, not at all. It dries by itself. leave it to dry for a day to completely dry and harden. Use a hairdryer to hasten drying. No mess! Very fun!

Hi. Yes, it will fuse. Well, even when they don;t touch water they will fuse when the clay is moist. You actually don;t need glue to fuse them together.

If the clay touches water, the colour will run...if you have made somethig and it touches water, some colour might fade.

Yes, like most air-dry clay. If you are happy with the finished work, leave it to dry for a day under normal airy environment. For unused clay, Pls store it in air-tight containers, usually provided with the clay when you purchase. store it in a cool dry place.
