@inthelandofhypocrisy , we have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world, Japan's until recently were the highest but I believe they lowered theirs. Bachmann was stating this correctly.

At the 14:15 mark, she knows way too much history behind the comments here. You can tell that this question was delivered to her in advance, and no doubt her trainers coached her on a response that would sound knowledgeable.
As someone else said, Bachmann (along with the rest of the GOP) is just cherry-picking some of the talking points that Ron Paul has been espousing for years, and then wrapping them up in a neo-conservative blanket. Don't fall for it, Ron Paul in 2012!

Not a good idea to attack FDR. Although his socialist policies were expanded upon and eventually lead to disastrous progressive legislation... Republicans had their heads in the sand in the 30's. FDR was committed to building up our military and was along side with Churchill in understanding the danger that was Nazi Germany.
BTW: Why is that people support the constitution when it is convenient to do so.

Repatriation of $1.2 TRILLION (Bachman's figure), without restrictive measures placed on its re-entry, inflates prices AND fails to protect and/or give preferential treatment to domestic dollars. Off shore laundering of traded currencies looted from anywhere and converted to dollars is a noose hanging over the USA. Companies which amassed dollars while paying no part of those dollars to build the USA have bought off our politicians in order to manipulate our economy with pirated CONTRABAND.

The reason why Ron Paul never, ever wins any presidential debate or primary, is because he gets on national t.v. and says things like "the ONLY reason iran wants a bomb, is because others have one", and " yes, i would legalize marijuana, and i would legalize cocaine too". While these arguments may yield some truth, they're just far too extreme for any rational parent / voter to wrap their hands around. Just saying.
