I went there n yes it is haunted, you half to sneak in late night, i have pics of ghost, def saw some crazy stuff there, there's a hidden part under the building that scared the shit outta me n my man, a bat was flying back in fourth then there was a black fig standing on the other side of the double doors

I was just up at Athen's Ohio and we went up there and looked at the Insane Asylum.. We also walked up to the Tuberculosis Ward. We looked at it from a distance but from afar is was scary looking. Were all of these photo's from the Tuberculosis Ward building?????

In Nov of 1987, a friend and I snuck into the shut down part of the insane asylum in Athens (we were seniors at OU). We ended up on the very top floor, underneath ceiling rafters. It was very dark so we could barely see. There was something crunching underneath our shoes which we assumed was old paint chips that has dropped down from the ceiling. Wrong....when we reached an area with some light, it ended up being hundreds of pigeon skeletons. They'd find their way in, and then be trapped.

Just got done from visiting the ridges except all the windows are filled with brick and the tunnels are filled with cement so you cant get in anymore, so we walked around the old paths and looked at the gravestones from the TB outbreak i think it was its some pretty scary shit

This place in the daylight isn't creepy at all, and let me be the first to tell you that I don't believe in ghosts or hauntings or any of that supernatural nonsense.

But take the creepy stairs down to the bathroom in the lowest floor and turn off your flashlight at night. Total creepy darkness in an unfamiliar environment.

I live in athens where the ridges are located it used to be huge ive been inside for a school field trip to see art also the new river cut through the four lakes that are located there it was shut down in 1991 they have all the windows covered up to keep people from seeing the rooms. it was very beautiful thousands hundreds of thousands of people died in there by suicide or dying in intensive care it was started after the civil war to treat crazy people from fighting in it
