What he's explaining is more consistent with the teachings of Islam where when U sin, you need to repent and promise God you won't do it again (or at least try your very very best not to). From what I understand about the concept of salvation in Christianity is that, all you need to enter the Garden is to believe that Jesus (PBUH) died from the original sin. I dont thin the pastor did a good job at answering. Because, someone can believe in that concept, while still committing sin (since he also said that sinning is a natural tendency of mankind). Resurrection is a matter of faith but Crucifiction of Jesus is a fact of history. If you know members of the IRF then please ask them what historical evidence he has and post it in this thread, maybe they have access to historical documents hidden in Mumbai which no one else in the world has :D

Jesus was a perfect spotless man (God), so He could die for our sins. Christianity is the only religion where the founder came to die for His followers. If you did, you would know that you are not your body - it is dying more every day and someday will be dead. (You are not promised tomorrow either.) But your spirit and soul (the real you) live on after your body dies. Then you will live in either hell (separated from God in torment) or in heaven with God, where there will be no more pain, no more tears.

"And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. You must read a verse in context.

He was living in a human tent, somewhat limited by it, and didn't have a complete overall view of the earth like Father God did. He makes the concept of salvation very complicated to understand.... The pastor I mean. That's what I think. What he's explaining is more consistent with the teachings of Islam where when U sin, you need to repent and promise God you won't do it again (or at least try your very very best not to). From what I understand about the concept of salvation in Christianity is that, all you need to enter the Garden is to believe that Jesus (PBUH) died from the original sin. I dont thin the pastor did a good job at answering. Because, someone can believe in that concept, while still committing sin (since he also said that sinning is a natural tendency of mankind). From what I understand, the pastor is saying that once you believe in salvation, magically you will not be committing sins anymore?

Zakir Naik has never debated a good western debater like David Wood, Sam Shamoun or Dr. James White. If Muslims dont know who these people are then search for their debates on youtube. @dinoraul119 : The crucifiction of Jesus is an historical event. The gospels as well as non Christian historical sources agree that Jesus was crucified. Resurrection is a matter of faith but Crucifiction of Jesus is a fact of history. If you know members of the IRF then please ask them what historical evidence he has and post it in this thread, maybe they have access to historical documents hidden in Mumbai which no one else in the world has :D

Jesus was a perfect spotless man (God), so He could die for our sins. Christianity is the only religion where the founder came to die for His followers. Every other religion requires followers to sacrifice and maybe die for its god. Even Satan was fooled into thinking he had won when Jesus died. But His resurrection proved God the Father accepted His sacrifice.

Regarding the question about WW1 leader of America ordering death of all Chinese fighters - first of all I'm not sure Chinese were even part of WW1. But you seem to be saying the order to kill Chinese would be out of date - are you saying the Qur'an is dated - parts no longer true at this time?

@dinoraul119: Tell me honestly, have you read the Bible. If not I please read the Gospel of John and then decide for yourself if Jesus claimed divinity or not. The Gospels need to be read as a whole to understand the message of the Gospels. My message to all Muslims is that if you enjoy Christian Muslim debates like I do then don't watch Zakir Naik debates, instead watch debates that will give u better understanding like Shabbir Ally.

@RevertSince1990 - You apparently don't believe in life after death, i.e. resurrection after death to live in heaven or paradise. If you did, you would know that you are not your body - it is dying more every day and someday will be dead. (You are not promised tomorrow either.) But your spirit and soul (the real you) live on after your body dies. Then you will live in either hell (separated from God in torment) or in heaven with God, where there will be no more pain, no more tears.

@RevertSince1990 - 1) Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for forgiveness (just as God did in the Garden of Eden for Adam & Eve). 2) Jesus was praying to His Father, one of Elohim's (plural God in Genesis) 3 parts. 3) Jesus was fully God and fully man - or He could not have died for mankind's sins. 4) Jesus had to have a mother to be a man (see #3) 5) Father God and God's Holy Spirit (2 of the 3 parts of the triune God) controlled world while Jesus' body was in His tomb.

@RevertSince1990 - I believe you when you say you don't understand. Of course you can't - because you believe in Allah. God does not have to answer to your logic. But answer me this - how can you say you believe and respect Isa (Jesus) when you don't believe and respect what He said - His "Message"? Over and over He explains why He came, that He would die for the sins of the world and would be raised to life on the 3rd day. See book of John, or Matthew, Mark, Luke - BibleGateway (dot) com.

Revert - The Bible says each man will pay for his own sin. But we have inherited sin nature all the way back to Adam. Babies are born selfish - they want what they want when they want it. When you accept Jesus into your heart, God begins working on you, molding you into the likeness of His Son. If you love & follow Him, you will not feel good when you sin. When you repent (turn from your sin), He has promised to forgive you and remove your sin "as far as the East is from the West".

@hotguy4allgirls - No one says Christians are better than others. We are all sinners - all sins listed in 10 commandments are bad. Jesus said if you've committed one, you have committed all. Where does Jesus say anything about women covering their hair - it's not there. He never said shave her head. One of His followers poured perfume on his feet and wiped them with her hair. Luke 7:38 and 44.

@hotguy4allgirls - Back at you. The verse you referenced is actually in First Corinthians - about when women PRAY or PROPHESY - not all the time. "And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head." You must read a verse in context.

But if you choose to believe in His atoning death on the cross for your sins, He will forgive them all - past, present & future. If not, you are choosing hell. That is what He says in the Bible in His Gospel.

Islam, Judaism, and Christianity believe there is one supreme, all powerful, all knowing God who created all - universe, sun, moon, earth, all life - plants & animals. Even in Jesus' time some believed in the resurrection and life after death, and some didn't. Over and over Jesus tells His followers that He forgives their sins, and He will give them eternal life. No one invented it - God has set eternity in our hearts. All religions believe it.

@RevertSince1990 - Believers in Jesus were 1st called Christians in Antioch. Jesus said to His Abba (Father God) when He prayed in the garden, "not my will but yours". He could not have atoned for the sins of the world if He had not been a perfect man. It's hard to understand, but He left His glory in heaven and took on a human "tent" of flesh, born as a human baby. The true miracle of Christmas.

@RevertSince1990 - Yes Jesus always deferred to Father God while He was on earth. He was living in a human tent, somewhat limited by it, and didn't have a complete overall view of the earth like Father God did. That is probably why He prayed with Father God almost every morning before dawn, to plan the day.
