That is how the Night Elfs became immortal before that they were never immortal they lost the immortalness when they used the powers of Nordrassil to stop Archimonde.
When they lost there immortalness Fandral Staghelm tried to make an other World Tree like Nordrassil to make the elf immortal again and Malfurion told Fandral and the other druids that it would be wrong to do so but they did anyway and they made Teldrassil. Which is the island that looks like a tree stump where Darnassis is. After some some stuff happened Alexstraza and Yesera blessed the tree but Nozdramu was have panic attack and could not give the elfs immortalness. LORE

Hmm I had a thought but idk. Ok so Malfurion knew that Illidan was not a betrayer, and instead of having him killed, he banished him to outlands, Tyrande also knew. So both still loved him. I was wondering that since Malfurion is back from the emerald dream, shouldn't he be like, pissed, that his brother was killed in cold blood? I mean Illidan didn't attack or anything in BC, he was simply betrayed, and everyone ran into his house and started attacking him. Lol. Oh well :) good music!
This music makes you feel like your in a safe haven, making the outside world seem dangerous, but in the world tree, its all safe, this music supports it.

Recklessness didn't drive them to mortality... they sacrificed their mortality to save Azeroth and destroy Archimonde. Archimonde was summoned to Azeroth by humans. i love the lore behind the night elves, the almighty kingdom split by the greed for power, the unwavering resolve in the face on total destruction, the splintering of the bloodlines and lessons learned, the night elves have the potential to be such an amazing race, their current state in WoW doesnt do them justice at all, being on the backfoot of a steriod powered orc offensive is an insult in my opinion

@Untoxeon1 Lyrics are in Darnassian/Thalassian, a bit difficult to hear since music is loud and that the singers probably misspronounce some of the words. Give it a try yourself ;)

Recklessness didn't drive them to mortality... they sacrificed their mortality to save Azeroth and destroy Archimonde. Archimonde was summoned to Azeroth by humans. There's nothing honorable about the Orcs with the exception of the frostwolves. They continue to pillage and destroy, hence green garbage. l2lore

i love the lore behind the night elves, the almighty kingdom split by the greed for power, the unwavering resolve in the face on total destruction, the splintering of the bloodlines and lessons learned, the night elves have the potential to be such an amazing race, their current state in WoW doesnt do them justice at all, being on the backfoot of a steriod powered orc offensive is an insult in my opinion

@bigyin109 the nelves aren't being pushed back as hard as you think. Look at the northern gate of Orgrimmar in Azshara, the night elves are knocking on it. They will triumph there, just as they have time and again in the face of adversity, be it a civil war, demons, qiraji, or green garbage from durotar.

@lolt4rds "Green garbage"? The honorable Orcs were initially neutral after they were freed of the Legion's iron shackles, and they've faced horrible adversity over that short period of time. From the ashes of a mass exodus, they established the strongest, largest paragon of Orcish might in Azeroth's history in the brutal, unforgiving environment of Durotar. The Night Elves, in stark contrast, have much to be ashamed of. It was their own reckless incompetence that drove them to their mortality.

@Elena9535 The night elves have their dark ages, as does every other race in the world of warcraft. However, the orcs, unlike every other race, haven't learned from their mistakes and seem hellbent on heading back down that road. Or did you miss that part of the lore and the reason the horde in turmoil?

@lolt4rds It isn't the majority of the Orcish race; it's Garrosh Hellscream and his young, naive Orcish war-mongerers. Thrall was an excellent diplomat and a wise leader, and his Horde was only fighting to protect itself from Alliance encroachment and racism. Thrall chose Garrosh to lead in his stead for a reason, regardless. In Cataclysm, strong leadership and an unwavering resolve is the epitome of necessity to ensure the prosperity and survival of the Orcish race, as well as the Horde itself.

@lolt4rds Heh. And a few Night Elves wouldn't dare set foot in the strongest, largest bastion of Orcish might -- especially given its recent militarization. Their very campaign in Azshera is suicidal, at best. If anything, they're only delaying Orcish expansion -into- Azshera.

@lolt4rds The reason the Horde is in turmoil is BECAUSE many learned from their mistakes, it's why Cairne and most of the Tauren openly disagreed with Garrosh. Unfortunatly Thrall gave a hot headed, power hungry, arrogant, ignorant whelp a position of high authority, at least the Alliance has Varian and Anduin to put some stability into this.

u mean honorable Thrall maybe? thanks to his great leadership the Horde was freed from the grip of the legion, and ofc also because of Grom Hellscream's saccrifice vs Mannoroth R.I.P Grom. i rlly hate Garrosh, he is bringing dishonor to all that Thrall fought for, and stains the name of Hellscream... at least Grom wasn't a reckless fool (well most of the time ^^). i rlly miss Thrall and Cairne :( they were great leaders

Did you know that Ogres are responsible for the creation of the Night elves you see long ago during the creation of Azeroth the titan's were busy playing with one of their favourite Ogre creations when one of them unleashed a mighty magic bottom belch into the primordial waters of Azeroth (The Ogres ofcourse back then were extremely powerful as the Titans were unskilled with making life so they just defaulted it to being super powerful)

@siltwebbing That is incorrect for the ogres are from a whole diffrent planet then azeroth.. Draenor. They came with the orcs to azeroth. Serving in their military. This action was changed later on. Elves and murlocs were the first intellegent races born. The murlocs are believed to be even older then the elves. This is because murlocs decended from murgols. Trolls decended from murlocs thus gaining their intellegence. This was a long act.

Though tribes and clans of trolls have been in existence almost or some speculate even as long as they have, the Darkspear trolls playable in the game have not been around nearly as long, thus making the night elves the second most ancient race playable in the game (the most ancient is the draenei race) and the first to appear on Azeroth

@zetyadrian As it what I mentioned. Night elves claim they awakened first. Trolls claim Night elves are descendents of them. And Trolls discovered the Well of eternity and some speculate that the elves' goddess Elune shaped the first night elves from the trolls that discovered the well. In reality night elves origin according to trolls or elves. One large fact is the trolls were the first true power in the world though they were eventually overthrown due to the elves magic.

The Ogre's fart reacting with the primordial waters and being contained in one place created what was then known as the Well of Eternity. Another creation of the Titans the first trolls came into contact with the Well of Eternity and began to drink from it, and were subtly mutated into the
