when it says taiso, taijutsu, and ninjutsu. these are all different material arts that you have to choose which one u like best. or when it shows all the names is this what is in ninjutsu bujinkan?

@TheSkateLot good question! those are all different parts of ninjutsu. Ninjas had to be agile, stealthy, and most of all, effective in their martial art. thats why we train in all these different areas. its not a martial art designed for engaging in combat with the opponent, its designed to deceive and/or eliminate the opponent as quickly as possible. this is why there are no competitions for ninjutsu/bujinkan because most of the techniques can maim or kill the opponent. hope this helps.

you know. i've seen alot of video's on how people do ninjutsu, and how they bash each other about realism. but you guys definately know what you're doing. this is very entertaining and interesting to watch. i'm really considering learning ninjutsu.

So... do the people that practice ninjutsu know that it isnt really a thing?

as in.. ninjas did not actually wear these clothes, use ninja-to (was invented centuries after the samurai were gone) and that most of this is straight out of hollywood ? just asking..

Question. I did various forms of Japanese Swordsmanship for a while...and I've always been taught to do only one chiburi at the end of a technique. However, it appears that at 1:35ish the student does two chiburi. What's that about?

OK, to further clarify my last post:

I finally found the term for the "10th" Kyu; it's called Mukyu, and it is an unranked student whoom has a white belt with no stars or patch.

Nick, I'm sorry that I didn't clarify. I literally just started (at that time) and everyone starts at the white belt (10th Kyu, which had no name or stars) and then you train for 9th Kyu (green belt, no stars) and so on and so forth.

Mind you, this is the belt/ranking structure under Soke Hatsumi/Shihan Van Donk. Certain dojos (both Japanese and American) may have a slight variation.
