I am so sure becouse you can clearly see him tracking the enemy when he is out of sight. Only when he starts to come into the gunsight (before he comes into it) he pulls up massively which you aren't going to anticipate doing if you do not see him. Let alone with such accuracy.
I agree with Haniel. Totally plausible shot, easy pickins' for a pilot that can shoot. I played EAW when IL2 first came out for my computer wasn't powerful enough to do IL 2. Now my 300 dollar emachines plays IL 2 '46 at 100% with no sweat. Truly amazing game.
It would seem as though they are on. You can see the tracers curve greatly due to gravity. Breda .50 cal have such a low muzzle velocity that they will arch like no other type of round. The trick is to get very close and hit the engine, pilot, etc.

The 2 songs are from The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
They are fan made versions as the songs in the game sound slightly different.
I love Daggerfall, one of the first CRPGs I played, and my favourite too. COuldn't believe how much freedom there was when I first played it.
