THe British exterminated 30 million Indians between 1876 - 1878. The extermination was a result of Lord Lytton's state policies, that actually called for the 'wiping out of millions' so that more wheat could be transferred to Britain.
The British also shot 10 million Indians over 10 years after the 1857 Uprising.
Another 4 million died in 1943 (during WW2) during the planned Bengal famine.

I think that this is one of the best ever historical programmes ever produced. It treats the subject matter with compassion yet is dramatically very effective.
