From the normal eyes, she just looks like any other normal child. She doesn't look like she has Down-Syndrome at all and usually you can see it in the facial structures. She is beautiful, and she seems very bright. :)

I share the fathers viewpoint. Our 9 yr old daughter was born with DS. She is very bright in her own special way and loves to laugh and have fun. She doesn't care that she has DS, why should I? I guess I don't really think about it anymore, she is just who she is and we love her for being herself with no conditions.
I think her dad has an amazing outlook on her disorder. Being able to focus on what she can do instead of dwelling on the things that she can't do is going to be extremely helpful for her in the future. Many times when people focus on someone's disease rather than their abilities, their symptoms can actually get worse as they become so focused on the negative aspects.
