I am a big believer in drilling basics relentlessly. What you see and hear is “the command voice" (or yelling your words)controlling the drill. You’ll note the students are not being directed as to what technique they must use (which I referred to in the book and you’ve made mention off somewhat out of training context). You’ll also note the tempo of the drills... but I could go on forever but we’ve limited space here. However to paraphrase you “I’m I missing something…” Yes a lot!
One thing that interested me: during the drills I noticed a lot of shouting "cmon" and other forms of encouragement, but in your online book you say they never did that in the old style combatics training because on the battlefield alone against an enemy nobody is going to be encouraging you, and you have to learn not to give up anyway. Maybe I'm missing something
@CNCTEMATIC somtimes to encourage somone, so they know there limmit is not what they think and can go much further is needed. also yelling words in a stressfull way, where they cant think, only react, if you cant oppeate with noises, you can oppperate with somone trying to take your head off. with respect- i think your being overly critical. if you have a better way im sure Mr. Wolfe would start teaching that..marines and army both encourage SF
