Just saw one today in Seattle! It replaced a regular trash can on International District/Chinatown station in downtown Seattle. There were 2 trash cans before and they were often full with trash, not there's only big belly. The only thing I dislike about it is that I have to manually open the door for trash, I'd rather press on a pedal to avoid touching the handle. Well, that problem is too small compared to the benefits this gives to the city. Just carry your own sanitizer at all times =)
I can see this happening in a country with civilized people; however, with a bunch of thieving asshole useless fuckers, no fucking way. Possibly somewhere like Netherlands,Sweden,Japan,South Korea,Singapore most likely.
Instead of compacting the garbage, why not REDUCE the amount of garbage that is thrown out? The same amount of waste is produced with the same non-biodigradable properties
WoW, this is perfect for my building entrance, we will not have to change the garbage so often and its good for the environment. The 100% degradeable trash bags make this system complete!! Thanks Compactor Guy for bringing this excellent product to the market
