@flskim906 i wouldent say that. i am a very loowww grade student but i love classical. although maybe i love classical cause im a artist and i love to paint to it. eh whatever its amazing and thats something we can both agree on.
The pictures at 0:43, 1:11, 2:15, and 2:37 ARE NOT MOZART!!! The only ones that are authentic out of that bunch are the first and last ones. I wish they would kill whoever keeps using these on the covers of Mozart CD's, when they arent even authentic.
But anyways, I love this overture, one of the best. ;)
Remember the MASH show when Charles Emerson Winchester the third, first appeared? the last scene he rolls his eye to Hawkeye and BJ and just says " Please..........Mozart"
If Mozart was not born the world would be much, much sadder than it is... By the way, the entire Opera is like an ascent on Mount Olympus... And "Don Giovanni" is even better, in my opinion...
Cant listen and not think of Trading Places. Great movie and great piece. Some music is just labeled positively that way. Its like listening to William Tell and thinking of The Lone Ranger.
the original piece was actually banned form beeing played in france because it made fun of the middle class and aristocracy (kings, queens, countesses, ect.) so the people complained to the emporer until it was finalized, but the same emporer gave permission to motart to play this after he performed it for the emporer in private :)

Austrian music, French story, the best combination of all. Almost all French kings had Austrian mothers and wives. A wonderful mix.

If music had its very own country named "musicland" or something, Mozart would be declared king for life

An opera overture is a sort of highlights package in which the best parts of the opera music are played.

Every time I hear this piece, I get reminded of that emperor in Amadeus complaining about "too many notes." Sure, there are a lot, but they all fit.
Bibliomaniac15 3 years ago 5
I think he was saying that about "The Abduction from the Seraglio" - but point well taken!
jeffamarie 2 years ago
Yeah, I noticed that after watching Amadeus again...although I could see the Emperor probably muttering that to himself again. :)
