Because of this movie, I got into Bowie. I liked his hits like "rebel rebel" and had recently heard "life on mars" and loved it but never bought any albums. After watching this, I bought "hunky dory,"ziggy stardust" ,"aladdin sane" and the soundtrack. I will always thank wes for introducing me more to bowie and nico (royal tenebaums).

@ryanand80 I had to think long and hard to just why Bill's quote "I wonder if it remembers me," had such a profound effect on me. I churned the words over and over in my head and found my own answer to it.

This movie, that scene and that line are very important to me, and really are horribly underrated.

If you haven't seen this movie, watch it. Watch it if not just for that one line, and you'll understand.
