  • for the money yo spend this is crap. you could spent the same on a cooler master case getting better quality and if you spend slightly more you can get better quality.

  • NOTICE!! I have purchased it and i can confirm the video reviewer removes the dust filter wrongly, so do not be put off by the way he removes the filter. His filter was placed wrongly on the underside of the case with pulling hook facing outwards towards the RIGHT >>> (towards the drive bays) causing the reviewer having to bend the filter risking damage. Mine was CORRECTLY fitted on the underside of the case with pulling hook FACING UPWARDS ^^^ thus no bending and easy removal.

  • Hi guys, frame instake (front and top) is alluminium too? Or Steel? Foam heats the machine?

Sorry for my poor english :(

  • Unfortunately, the motherboard tray is not removable.

  • omg you pulled out the top dust filler wrong, it you just pull it from the side.

maybe you'res was just put in wrongly.

  • @Dean129012 Obviously you do not have this case because if you would do a little more research, there is a piece of metal in the way of allowing this top be possible, its the piece right infront of the top 180mm fan that the side panel hooks on to. It would of been nicer to see it be able to be removed from the side, but just learning you can remove it without having to remove the actual fan like the bottom is still a good feature.

  • @GodDragon1 i have used the case, i built one for a client 2 weeks ago, maybe you got a dodgy batch because the fan filter does come out easily from the side like it was intended.

  • who cares about removable motherboard tray, I understand that it is very useful for most people but the problem is that it ads to the cost of the case and for majority of people that cost difference is very significant. Removable motherboard tray would be more important for enthusiasts who swap out hardware but clearly this is not an enthusiast level case.

  • @alex14469 This is not an enthusiast level case? Ok...^^

  • @UnrealGlider No, It is. What I am saying is that it makes no sense to apply the same standards to budget cases. A 40$ case will not have an aluminum frame or a removable motherboard tray.

  • @alex14469 "but clearly this is not an enthusiast level case."

    Direct quote from you..

  • What a donk, overpriced case.

  • @Scott97169 Overpriced? Full a unibody full aluminium case? for £130? AND a window? ARE YOU DUMB?

  • @UnrealGlider I guess i just posted that message because it was the exact same price as the FT02 when i posted which happens to be a much better case than this FT01. But even now at it's new 200 dollar price tag, it's still overpriced and i can get a much better case for the price point.

  • the filter for the top fan is on the side now.. not the inside anymore. it works now just like the front one.

But beware.. If you have a mobo like an asus p6x58d with sata ports facing sideways rather than upwards.. it is a pain to route the cables thru the provided cable management holes.

    keep that in mind.

all in all tho.. very nice case for the money and presently there is a 30 dollar rebate thru newegg making it only 170

  • I HAVE THIS xD

  • I think that he is wrong pointing the front ports at 2:17, take a look, I'm not sure

  • 6:26 This is a kickass product !

  • Nice case.

  • It looks like it came out of a cardboard box , literally

  • wtf isnt a kickass product for this guy........i watched 14 or so reviews and he said all 14 were kickass

  • there are some great products..

  • @tf2godlikespy

the antec 1200 is kick ass

    its 100% kick ass

  • @RoCRoikar Antec 1200 is alright ^^ Binning mine though and going for this FT01 thing

  • lol, ditto. pretty much all the cases this guy reviews are all kick ass, that's why. :V

  • @Shadowfury I kept watching vids and found one that he said was only " great" and sadly that was my case

  • @tf2godlikespy just because he says its great doesnt mean its not a kickass chassis

  • Is there any case that is something like this? But it is a full tower case and have an access hole.

  • closest one is a coolermaster atcs 840. dont know what you mean by acces hole though.

  • o yea. has all the holes you want.

  • LOL. Thanks.

  • ATCS 840 really is a badass. If it is black interior, then it rocks.

  • well there is no window on the case but if you plan on making a window. you can buy matt black paint and DIY.

  • Oh. After seeing Obsidian 800D and the Silverstone RV01, they are better looking than the ATCS 840. LOL. But still have a long time before I can change my casing. Got my build less than a month. Thanks anyway. :D

  • Well right now I'm looking around the internet for a computer case for my first custom build, and I'm really interested in this case especially. The only thing I need help with is, why is it bad that there is not an access hole in the motherboard tray? I'm sorry for asking, I'm sure pretty much everyone knows why, but this is my first build and I'm still learning a lot. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you

  • That acesshole allows you to add retension plates for large CPU coolers. If your into overclocking you will find this troublesome...if your into gaming you might get away with a medium sized cooler.

  • Alright thanks a lot, it took forever for an answer lol. Thanks

  • get raven 02

im doing my first build but getting a pro to build it for me.

he has the FT02 and the RV01. and he likes the RV02 ten times more than both of those.

  • too bad for RV02.. difficult removing the harddrive cage or harddisk if you have a large video card especially dual SLI setup...

  • i love rv02 but it's too small :(

  • well if you have a large CPU fan you have something called a retention plate. it goes on the back side of the mobo and helps screw in the fan. the down side of not having it be accessible is that you cannot remove you fan without removing your motherboard. hope this helps

  • Ohh ok. Yeah this is definately the biggest piece of info I've gotten lol. Thank you very much.

  • The dust filters are a huge failure.

  • It's quite ugly...for a Silverstone

  • IMO Silverstone >>>>> Lian Li.

  • good thing we all have are opinions then

  • Posted on my birthday. LOL

  • Yeah its pricey but i think im gonna save up and get one, they are sweet

  • Damn, can't find any cheaper than $259AU. Love the TJ07 but didn't want a full tower. So this was perfect.

  • yea mate. just bought one from PCCG. they are so nice

  • silver or black? ...

    :D

  • go for black. the drive bay covers on the silver case do not match with the rest of the case. The only problem with a black case is that dust becomes more apparent on the exterior of the case. BTW I have an old TJ02 (silver) case and I love it. It is a hybrid aluminum case, but it is more rigid that a full aluminum case.

  • Best case EVAR! :P

  • Comment removed

  • Your not suppose to.... Its defeats the perpose of the positive air pressure, to keep dust out, and its a single top fan not 2...

  • It blows air in, so all the air goes out the PCI-e, ports, and Rear fan keeping the graphics card and CPU cooler... and as I said, its put like that to keep dust from getting in.

  • howcome I have a dell computer and when i have it laying down the CD drive opens like normall but when I use it as a tower it wont open and i have to use a pin and place it through that little hole next to the CD/DVD drive

  • well its dell, they do stupid shit

  • lol cause its true

  • Looks like a CM 690 ...

  • wanna have it tooooooo :(((

  • I have this case, Its so bad ass I <3333 it sooooo much!

  • I love you to.

  • Do u love me 2?

    xD

    Just kidding...mate...seriously...-_-'

    Don't say yes

  • -_-

  • Too expensive.....

  • @chinghinkee Well if you buy an expensive case u can use it for several builds because there is a reason to the cost.

  • a clear case of great concept but not very well though through... that filter made the deal breaker for me, else I'd get this

  • U can take the filters out...

  • i reallly want this case, but its so fucking expensive!

  • I have it, its the best case I have ever had, I <3333 so much!

  • great case i must say

  • will it work with the x58 motherboards?

  • ATX motherboards will fit.

  • i have problem.just got 2 gainward rampage 700gs glh triple slot graphics cards.cant find the right case.does anyone know anything about it?

  • wow that is a monstrous card (hd4870x2). i think the lian-li amorsuit 08 should be good, the cosmos s is also a good choice(this case has a very good width). here in my place they are selling the cosmos black label (fantastic case)

  • Will a Corsair 1000hx PSU fit in this case?

  • Yes, it should fit since that power supply is about 8 inches long.

  • pho shizo

  • This is definitely my next case.

  • HD QUALITY FTW!!!!!

  • Wow. Im watching this in HD O.o

  • will this cooler fit ? Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT

  • I would like to know that also. The TRUE1366 RT is about 160mm tall. The case width is 210mm. But, we don't know how deep the motherboard standoffs are.

  • Standoffs + motherboard are a lot less than 5cm!

  • type "&fmt=22" at the end of the url for ultra HD

  • This is my current favorite case, and when I build i7 and tri-SLI in a month or two, it's gonna go in one of these.

The only thing I don't like is the power button on the front.

They should have put it on the plastic thing with the reset instead of cutting into the aluminum.

It's expensive but not crazy expensive.

    It's about $225 if I remember right.

  • tri sli in a mid tower... good luck.

  • Hello! I am Japanese. Please let me my poor English. I have a question for native americans. What is the meaning of "pwn noobs".

Mr.Google, my English teacher would not answer my question. Please reply.

    Best Regards

  • "pwn noobs" is a modern internet slang phrase that means:

    pwn = Beat, win, victorious

noobs = a beginner or novice

Prior to the internet and online games, the words pwn noobs never existed and is not found in an English Dictionary.

  • Pwn comes began as a mispelling of the word Own. Now it's usually pronounced Pwn aswell.

Noob comes from the word Newbie which means beginner.

So to Pwn Noobs means To Own Beginners

  • Antec 1200 pwns all.

But I would go for an Antec 900 over this one.

  • Jeah, im running with an Antec 1200 and no single peace of dust in my case! :)

  • You don't get peace from the dust, are they scaring you? Maybe threatening somehow? You should tell to police.

  • Your mom is dust?

  • Antec P(wn)190

  • Could someone please tell me if this case can pwn noobs better than my antec 900? Please reply

  • It's not worth the upgrade from an Antec 900.

  • looks like a pretty good case, probably expensive though.

  • ~250 on ncix

  • its about 160-180 on newegg, not bad

  • really? I was expecting 200 and up

  • nah, newegg has really good prices

  • Looks like a pretty nice case if you ask me =]

With a few could be an excellent case!

  • ... With a few *Mods*...

  • *Hopes for a review on a Monster Mods or Thermaltake Mozart case*

  • this case is awesome..

  • I have to say this is an excellent review. I especially liked the graphics card length measuring, as well as the round up at the end. It certainly looks good and there aren't that many cases which have a plain window - which is cool.

  • this case has a bit of 900 and staker in it

  • I do agree too guys.Although my new case does have removable m-board tray my old one was a thermaltake and quite expensive and it didn't feature a goddamn tray.:P

  • I can't understand that why do they but removable motherboard trays to big full tower cases where's already alot free space and not to the mid-towers that are so cramped inside

    ˇˇ

  • I agree with you 100 %.

any normal, descent pc case must have removable m-board tray. i have onevery cheap, noname pccase with freetray, but suprisingly - many expencive cases do not have it. like it is a huge effort to produce them with removable tray :-/

  • I bought myself a thermaltake bach vx mid-tower case and when i installed my motherboard with a huge cpu cooler i almost broke the cpu cooler when trying to get to the screws of the mohterboard :)

You can see the big cooler from my channel...

  • It's not very beautiful case...

  • cause its simple.

I like it simple. I don't need useless LED lights. cause of that, im sick of my 900...

  • its an awesome looking case.. i cant stand flashly lights and stuff.. nice and elegant like a benz :D

  • 01:56 very bad design.

  • I love listening to the stock cooling

  • What motherboard was that when it showed that crossfire setup, its like red and black, its looks 100% kickass :P

  • ASUS P5K3-Deluxe

  • 05:23 :C

  • 01:54 ? :D

  • 00:53

  • 00:41

  • really nice case for estethic, btw I read about a problem in graphic cards cooling if you keep up the upper hdd retention box.

So I think that a overclocker should remove it anyway, even if he doesn't need more room.

Unhappy to see how bad are positioned dust filters and the lack of removable mb tray... i'd like to see what Rodny thinks about the Lian Li PC-A17, which actually I think is little better than this one (and also cheaper).

Lian Li one has also removable mb tray as far as I know.

  • so many complaints. how the hell could something like this be kickass?

  • really nice case, I like the dampening and ability to fit titanic size video cards in future :)

  • I would like to have this case to have a side fan, an easier way to remove the filter, and to have labels for the power, and reset button. since the reset looks like a power...

  • yes, he did say shlong.

  • @ 41 sec i could have sworn Rodney said "This makes it very shlong" hahaa

  • Yeah. :)

  • LOL He does!

  • i soo want to get a t-shirt saying The mother brd tray is nto removerble haah

  • Or a T-Shirt saying I am wearing shoes with rubber soles which have excellent anti-vibration properties and won't scratch the surface :-)

  • lol

  • nice video .& a great case

  • what's a cp something else :p

    for the hard drive?

  • lol look at the coolermaster cm 690, its almost the same

  • Nice video there Rod. I like your videos, but everytime I notice you mentioning "Removable Mobo tray". Is that really such a big issue? How many times in the lifetime of the PC would someone work on Mobo replacements? Not much, right? I don't see that as an issue.

The top Air filter seems flexible and should not be much of a hassle to be removed.

What I would like manufacturers to do is to have a cover over the case USB / Firewire / Audio ports.

  • nice case ty !

  • "this is a kickass product"

  • How can it be kickass when the top filter fouls when removed? Any advice on how to get Vista to accept sata drivers without a floppy drive? Thanks Rodney!

  • ottimo case.

    nice review

  • good case

  • everybody is copying the 900 now... thermaltake, silverstone, coolermaster.

  • people were copying the silverstone tj07.

    antec, coolermaster, thermaltake

  • Truth be told.

  • cool case

  • Nice acoustic foam...

  • Wow Silverstone makes some clean looking cases. I really like the looks of this one.

  • Damn that looks nice.

  • Think I found my new case :D

  • sleek case. nice review

  • cool cool

  • Nice review!

  • very nice case!

  • Rodney Reynolds is the man

  • verry nice as usual #D game man!

  • Nice!

  • nice review
