Ok; I am going to get on my soap box. I do agree their is no specific example of them being gay in the Anime. There are several thingsat can be taken as proof of their love and things that can be taken a proof against it. I have heard both arguments and , though I wish they were in love (they would have such a beautiful relationship; emotionally too ok; i am not just a pervert), I cannot clearly come out and say they are. The creator would have to say it characters can take on thier own lives.
