This thermal camera is showing heat as white, and as anyone may have noticed (not trying to gross or anything) when they fart, it is almost always warm. The blackness you see here is that of a spray can, when the cold propellant is released. The hotter the area, the brighter; the colder the area, the darker. End of science lesson.

Actually it's on white if you look in the upper right-hand corner. And also if it was on "black hot", then the other hot things, like the person's skin would be black too.
