The U.S. on the other hand single handedly fought the japanese and the germans in africa, italy and europe, we with the help of our British friends launched D-Day and liberated france and moved into europe, putting pressure on the Nazi/German forces attacking russia.The soviets only advanced to berlin because the rest of the allies had forced the Nazi's to retreat.
Well in WWI we entered the war late but at a crucial moment right as "Russians" surrendered/quit due to civil war. If we had not joined the war Germany would have had a fighting chance, we made sure they didn't. In regards to WWII the "Russians" rely didn't do much, they spent most of the war retreating and defending there cities from Nazi invaders, not to mention they only fought on 1 front.

The war progressing at a snails pace, I believe the allied powers would eventually win due to resources and man power, but without U.S. involvement the war would have been much longer. Thus more loss of human life. The U.S. involvement was a game changer, Im not saying it was essential for victory but we played a major role.

The Russians had a revolution, and the French army suffered mutinies of sorts after the failure of Nivelle's offences (the British suffered surprisingly few morale problems, a fact that mystifies many historians) so it was useful.
Actually in regards to the U.S involvement in WWI, If it had not been for the United States germany would have had a very legitimate fighting chance, an upper hand. Because Russia had pulled out and stopped fighting, due to civil war. leaving the few remaining allied powers to fend for them selves. I don't think your history books, tell you the only reason you involve yourselves in wars, is not because your 'the leaders of the free world' it is only for your own benefit.
Take World War 2 for example, the only reason you 'grand' country got involved, was because you were in your great depression, your leaders realised they could sell war bonds and get out the depression. You saved yourselves, not us.

Well in WWI we entered the war late but at a crucial moment right as "Russians" surrendered/quit due to civil war. If we had not joined the war Germany would have had a fighting chance, we made sure they didn't. In regards to WWII the "Russians" rely didn't do much, they spent most of the war retreating and defending there cities from Nazi invaders, not to mention they only fought on 1 front.

The war progressing at a snails pace, I believe the allied powers would eventually win due to resources and man power, but without U.S. involvement the war would have been much longer. The Russians had a revolution, and the French army suffered mutinies of sorts after the failure of Nivelle's offences (the British suffered surprisingly few morale problems, a fact that mystifies many historians) so it was useful.

Because Russia had pulled out and stopped fighting, due to civil war. leaving the few remaining allied powers to fend for them selves. @MegaCharlieV By the end of the Somme, it was the beginning of the end for the Germans. Look at the work of Otto Dix and his depiction of the German Army after the Somme. The US had pursued a policy of non-intervention until German subs began unrestricted warfare. The American Army was not fit to fight until the summer of 1918. It was well equipped but didn't have the experience of the other powers. The US helped with offences (as reflected in their losses) but were relatively minor I'm afraid.

to be honest im so sick of all these war arguments. but what im also fed up of is that america in films and games and everything always somehow winning things - take patriot for example mel gibson single handedly slaugther about 30 brits. like thats perfectly possible in real life

@Brotherhoodbikechief Continue to be sick of it then. The Patriot was based off a real man named Frnacis Marion, one of the fathers of guerilla warfare. He really did cause the British occupation that much trouble. Yes it is possible in real life. Look at some of the MOH winners who singlehandedly killed far more than that. I currently serve in the US Army, quite a few of my officers and NCO's have killed well over that number single handedly as well.

@aris205982 WHO CARES WITH WELSH?You fool learn about your own history the english only found the longbow when the welsh were taken over by King Edward but in several battles their cavalry was slaughtered by them without the longbow battles such as Crecy wouldn't have been won you fool.
