Hey I have a question about the Super Tape. If I wanted to use some of the tape on my wig cap and not on my skin, do you think it would stick to the lace and hold up well this way? I'm a daily wig wearer, so I just wear it out for the day and then take it off; so I don't need a long-term hold. I just want to avoid putting any adhesives on my skin..

Hey fellow NYer, I want to thank you for alllllll of the information that you have given to all of us. I'm in the military so I travel alot and not all water feels the same. Needless to say my hair from MD state water broke off in clumps, I've learned that with the wigs I can give myself a break from having to pull it bk during the week. The super tape works great for the sides (which is all I need), and it comes off easy with alcohol. Thank you and please keep the info coming.

Ultra hold burned and left me looking like I was in a fight.. Needless to say I threw that junk in the garbage! I agree with you though about the Miss Lola's adhesive it is a bit thick but its easy clean up though. It gives me moderate hold of a few days. The tape works well for me though better than the glue for some reason. I just wish I could get it to last longer than a week. You rock April!!!

I only use ultra hold(small one) and vapon fx tape. I always get up to 3 weeks hold. I do 2 coats on my skin, then I apply the tape, then I put one more layer of ultra hold, but on top of the tape. wait 10 mins for each application so it can dry right.

Hi have you heard by any chance of a glue called (Perfector Plus Adhesive) apparently its new and its good for high resistance to water, perspiration, humidity and high temperatures. And apparently the average bonding time is 25 days.

thanx soo much. I thought I was just slow or something!! I had the FX tape and the same day is was sliding back and the tape was getting gunky and then I bought the 30 sec stuff and it was soo stringy and got on my glasses and wouldn't hold. So my bff applied it, cuz i thought I was slow or something and I tied my hair down and my scarf was stuff better than the wig!! I just ordered some supertape and I pray that works. UPDATE!! I have tried endura bond! and its the shit. its been a month and im ready to remove it and i dont have any remover! lol its really good. its not comming off untill you take it off. the trick is too use a little bit.. its like super glue. its not easy to remove off your head though..

@Blazinputa4upapi Sounds great but please help like how do you keep your front hairline or front and nape from getting wet in the shower? I take warm showers but not the hottest showers and I might stay in 25-30 mins. I got to clean and touch up like every 3 days.

try using a swimmers cap. its tight fitting and water proof. it works for me. or you may have to sacrafice your hot showers....

once its on its on!! its a hard bond so it feels kinda hard on your head... but you get use to it. i tried removing it with acetone and its not working out to well... i dont know what removes this stuff. but overall I love it.. its better then reapplying glue all day long everyday! get on ebay.... good luck to everyone!

Tried Supertape and it dont work well for me or my chemistry. Blue liner seem to work better for me. Im actually tried of all the adhesive companys lying about the hold time, ive tried so many and my oily skin aint hearing it

Diva Queen, thank you so much. Applied my 1st lace wig after my stylist did it. She uses UltraHold. I tried that mess. The deformed brush dripped bad; it was so sticky, took so long to dry, and my wig's still not right. Need it to stay for 2-3 wks b/c I'm a reporter and travel a lot with strangers, gettin up early stressed. You gave me the best advice so far. I'll try the supertape but think I also need a glue ontop. Still looking for the right stuff to do this combo. Thanks again Diva.

hey miss april im back i recently got some new adhesives and its all trial and error I have davlyn waterproof and regular and of course ultra hold ( i hate this one)...the white glue and some other of course supertape...I do really really love mastix P and mastix tv matte spirit gum because it is waterproof and for women and with sweating problems i think this adhesive is a keeper.....

Super tape except in the nape.

a thin layer or two of a silicone adhesive. (Im using No tape these days)

Then hit it with a thin layer of ORWG.

I wear my units for 7 days then i HAVE to come out of it. :)

Thank you diva! I tried the Davlyn's Green and it was a stringy mess. I liked the hold but it was messy. I'll have to give the tapes you suggested a try.

By the way, for the Ms Lola's creme, try placing a piece of saran wrap between the lid and opening of the jar. I've read that helps with the jar getting stuck. :)

Tip for using the Vapon, before taking the top off, while running hot water, hold it under the water for a few seconds to loosen up the glue, also use a regular popsicle stick to apply it to your hair line. I use to wear lace wigs and I used the vapon and tape all around my hairline and it would last for a whole week, and it gave me a perfect application every time. I have a video on my page showing one of my perfect applications of my lace wig.

ii wear wigs everyday && at night ii take it smooth off :). && ii just keep my hair braided down && moisturized && tied down every night. ii make sure ii untangle the wig with a wet paddle brush at night or when ii get up && its good to go. ii mean either way is fine but yu just have to decide if yu want to sleep in it or not. if yu have straight hair yu'll have to wrap if yu keep it on && if its curly/wavy just braid it and sleep in a bonnet. its up to yu

you can use a piece of plastic to separate the lid from the bottle on ms lola adhesive. i have used ultra hold, ms lola and no shine tape and they are not holding for me. i want something to hold for a week. thanks for the tutorial.

i heard that tape is better in the long run for your wigs.. because the tape doesnt stick to the lace after you wash it. the adhesive will not come off the lace sometimes.
