Outstanding video! The asshole boomers rebelled against morality at a time when good jobs were plentiful and people had respect. What did they do with their idealism having acheived power? They became the most demanding, intolerant, money hungry control freaks. Try getting a job today. You MUST piss in a cup, have background checks, credit report checked, car insurance, politically correctness, etc. God has a great sense of humor. Boomers became what they despised only far worse yet so proud.
I will not defend my generation, but I will say that there are a few of us with some half decent ideas. Political correctness not among them. But see Pinker, Dawkins, Dennett, Hitchens and others. Oh... and ME. Look at ME. It's all about MEEEE... oops.... slipping back into my generational role there.... sorry. ; )
I had you in mind as one of the good ones, no worries. :) I don't think that the Baby Boomers label applies to people born outside of the U.S., so Dawkins can't be counted.
If I had it to do over, I would have added that all generations have pros and cons, some of which are governed by the times. Also, I really should have given the BB credit for Civil Rights, which was pretty huge.
LOL. For the longest time, I thought that the song was about a general older vs. younger conflict but then I heard it again recently (one of my friends is a devotee of The Who) and I figured it out.
@AncientAtheist Yeah, great-but when your generation took up the reigns of power you then told your children to go to a war that was equally unnecessary and has turned out to have cost more lives than Vietnam ever did.
Well, you say you will be better off when the boomers are all gone?? My friend, you will be in your 60s when that happens. Good luck to you.

@AncientAtheist
Civil rights, women's equality and, though we
may suffer guilt - we ended the war in Vietnam.

be.... "yeah... I hope you die before you get old
too"! Or, as you might remind me... old"er"!
