  • what transmission is this? it almost seems like an hx transmission. cause 1st gear is longer than my dx. i shift redline at 30. my si shifted into 3rd redlining at 50 in second.

  • need shorter gears

  • @RoughKnightZero I know.. Wish I was using the crx si cable trans on it...

  • were u able to use all of ur vacuum lines on the evap canister? i had one that dint get to go back onto the manifold after i did the y8 manifold.

  • @tommyfacekicker I didnt have any issues with vacuum. Only thing was the air intake temp sensor needs to be put back somewhere into the intake system. Just use it on the intake pipe. and the throttle cable bracket needs small adjustments to fit right.. other then that its smooth sailing from there... also pcv valve adjustments

  • wat kinda wrk did u have done? wat other mods u got? u running 4-2-1 headers or 4-1? im thinkn bout goin 4-1 but dint get any feed backs on them yet. how much hp u make and have u timed ur ride yet? can u let me know on my page? its under chueyi, silver hatch w black hood. thnx

  • @tommyfacekicker its a d16z6 with D16A1 pistons-Y8 intake manifold Megen 4-2-1 header,stock cat-2 1/4 cat back with a greddy Sp2 street tuned muffler.

  • @tommyfacekicker I ended up selling the car last year to a friend of mine. Ive helped him out with a few mods. I did a OBX throttle body spacer and that has worked out pretty nice. Torque increased pretty good. also I forgot to add earlier that i had put a OBD1 integra LS throttle body on the setup.

  • no bullshit, but i dont think ur motor is built. the reason why i say that is because i have a stock d16z6 and my 3rd gear pulls to 85-90 mph. either ur bsing, someone built ur shit wrong or u dont know wtf ur talking about and the guy u bought the car from lied to u.

  • @b18c1mien did I not state I wasnt trying to beat on it. The motor was just done and i wasnt trying to risk anything. including leaks if the gaskets havent settle it. Also I was running a chrome chipped Po6 that wasnt tune for the cars specs so before you get off your high horse why dont you just STFU and let people post there vids

  • @juv923 wtf u mean u didnt try to beat on it? i mean yea u didnt launch it but i know u rev'd past 6 grand thats for sure. more then 1 occassion. ur shit is hella weak. no wonder u sold it, i would've too. 11.3 compression and it still sounds/run/perform like stock...post ur videos..post as many as u want i dont care. if u dont like people talkin shit then dont post. someone is gonna knock on ur video reguardless..so STFU and deal with it..cry baby.

  • @b18c1mien The motor and transmission and clutch was just done at that time. I wasnt trying to risk beating on the transmission untill the 1,000 miles were put on it. Ive already had a problem the first time with a syncro burning up because i got on it the day it was done being built. Plus I was running a chrome chipped po6 ecu that wasnt tuned for the cars specs yet.

  • @b18c1mien plus I was having problems with my v-tec. i dont think the ecu was socketed right

  • right now my clutch is stock and when I shift at high rpm for racing, the rpm's will match up but there is this short period (like on your vid) where there is a pause in between first-to-second.

My buddy, with a stage 2 competition clutch, does not have that weird "wait" shit between gears (not trying to be mean at all, but its just something to look into later on ya know?)

  • I wasnt trying to power shift or shift fast. It was a brand new rebuilt trans and I didnt want to start doing that till it was at least 500 to 1,000 miles driven on it

  • what kinda pistons?

  • d16A1 pistons. From the 88-89 integra LS

  • While getting 30 mpg all at the same time. I love my d16

  • guess it's what part of area ya from... my sohc coupe did 15.3 at sacramento raceway... slicks, sk2 pro im, dc header, act clutch, hi flow cat, exhaust, chipped... i must be a good driver.. ls hatches, no problem!

  • my non vtec sohc zc, with sk2 im, sk2 tb, bbp header, bbp tp, bbp exhaust, jdm d15b trans, fidanza 7lb aluminum flywheel, exedy stage 1 organic clutch ran 14.8 on kumho ecsta street tires.... lol

  • @IAmMrFlippers do u have a clip? im interested in knowing pple who really broke into the 14's w sohc and bolt ons.

  • @tommyfacekicker clip no, but I can give you a piece of advice, dont buy a 7lb flywheel it sucks to daily drive. I got rid of my sohc zc and picked up and obd2 zc, im pretty sure with the stock intake manifold and throttle body I will trap higher speeds with it. Same d15b trans, ecu is chipped to jdm p29 fuel and ignition maps, and also has 2 step, rev limiter at 7400, and shift light on the cluster.

  • @theredejvtec do u have a clip too? i think your motor is even more gifted than mines. everyone ive raced thinks im built but i give them the offer to tear it down and if theres any built or aftermarket parts internally in the motor, then ill give them 10k + my ride. but if theres nothin, then they better b ready to give me 10k + their ride, then ill sell their shit n really do some damage.

  • to bad it has a 0-60 time of about ten seconds

  • how can u count a 0-60 time without even launching... i didn't hear no tire's squeal...

  • if u launch with sticky tires then they shouldn't squeal... and to be quite honest i've always believed that squealing tires slowed 0-60 times because spinning while sitting still dramatically slows forward progress

  • yeah to a certain extent, and i highly doubt his vtec kicks at 20mph and that hard lol

  • why not? mine does? 94 cx hatch w/ 95 D16z6 I/H short shift, 11lb fly and 179k miles.. opens right before 5k and it's around 20mph.. dnt see anything wrong with that.

  • D16z6 vtec's get 0-60 in about 7.5 seconds.

  • i have a 94 ex coupe d16z6 fully built high compression and i tool on ls gsr and b16 even tooled on a mustang 4.6 manual with headers

  • This is y u can't spend no money on SOHC, somebody can leavy you

  • Damn, for a 4 cylender its got a great bottom end, just gotta find a way to get some top end out of it!

  • needs cams to take advantage of the compression

  • hahah you mean cam... its a single cam slammer

  • yeah what i meant, typo :S

  • my buddys hatc with a stock b16 ran a 14 flat....

  • its pretty quick for sohc but u need a b18 man, trust me

  • no you dont staight stock b series only do high 14's to low 15's... D series does mid 15s yo

  • I have never seen a D break into the 15's. A buddy of mine had a d16 vtec in his 92 hatch with I/H/E intake manifold, throttle body, and lots of other bolt on's. It ran a 16.2 in the 1/4th But hey, I would not mind boosting the shit our of a d16 if I was on a budget, that would yield some pretty good times.

  • ill try to get my videos up and my stubbs

  • @ITRlover1 u should check out me n my buddies. check under chueyi on youtube. im the silver hatch w black hood and my buddies is the red hatch.

  • @ITRlover1 Hmm. me and some people have done alot of OEM built D series engines that got into the mid 14's on a good day. Perhaps the only thing that wasnt OEM was the V-con and the exhuast system.

JDM D15B block, Pm7 p&r's , D16Z6 head , D16 non vtec composite head gasket, LS tb, 89 integ ecu, 91 crx si header, Si/Zc mixed Tranny. on 91 octane.

  • @ITRlover1 he must be a shitty driver cuz i ran a 16.5 in a coupe with a short ram lol

  • I would have spend that money on an b series swap instead.

  • you fail.....300 for high compression < 1500 for a swap.....i'll take the high compression anyday.

  • You suck, $1500 is a huge rip off. $135 for motor and tranny out a 94 integra, $110 for axles and shift linkage, and $85 for fluids, oil filter, radiator hoses, and other random parts. $330 thats what I spent on my swap, so you fail, sir, you fail. Shove that single cam up your ass! Now I can put $300 dollars into my DOHC and really notice a gain of power. Not trying to hate, but thats just wasted money man.

  • really? Because my stock d15b7 2 years ago would romp on ls tegs, and hold with stripped ls hatches through third. Theres a driver mod you need to look for, single cams are just as good as dohc cams, you just need to know your shit.

  • what ever, dont hate because single cam can still be somethin. stick to your easy way out b-series swaps. Being creative sometimes starts with what you have to work with.

  • @FourDoor95VTEC can i buy ur motor and tranny off of u? thats pretty cheap. i need about 3 motors and 2 trannys. same price rite? let me know on my page. thnx.

  • dude, is that a hb or coupe?

    nice acceleration man

  • coupe

  • nice
