Looks pretty authentic, Ethan and very well done. Where did you come across this film, or was it something you created? If it's something you made I would like to ask you a couple of questions if you don't mind. Let me know.
@civilwarstory It was a film production made in the 1960's. The whole story is contained in the links above... click on the "show more" link for the story.
@anotherengineer If you thin this is amazing you should see the post that says that it is authentic confederate army marching filmed by some french guy
Outstanding! I wish the current candyasses in the hobby would put more effort into authenticity. The 150th anniversary events should be exciting. See you there.
Wow!! They still looke better than most renactors out there!! This is awsome!! Love to hear about the ol" times in the hobby! Still hang out with a few of the old Hanover boys every week!
@Jubilo1 Yeah, what is it with the wearing of modern glasses in reenacting nowadays? (And cigarettes.) This was widely scorned in the Eighties, when I did most of my reenacting. A dire trend.

Pretty amazing considering the motion picture camera wasn't invented until 1880.

@ethanwc "Jonah Begone of the Camp Chase Gazette." FORMERLY of the Camp Chase Gazette! The new one is too humorless to run my stuff.

Thanks for posting! I have admired Kimmel since reading his Memoirs. Dandy looking Johnny Rebs: blanket rolls, thin, young and NOT WEARING GLASSES!!!
