  • Theres about 90 minutes worth of general footage ranging from,I assume, the late 50's to early 70's.Having lived close to Breadsall all my life, its been fascinating to watch. Its a real eye-opener when you see the cattle being herded down the road, the blacksmith, the village meeting, the carnivals etc...knowing that whole lifestyle's long gone.Would make a great History lesson for the kids.

Luckily this footage has been saved.

Anyway,if your local I'll get a dvd or media file over to you.

  • @glynnboo I lived in Breadsall, in the Old Hall, across from the Church. I have many fond memories of this village, i would absolutely love one of those DVD's, mostly for my parents and grandfather, who also lived in the village for many years, my grandfather and mother, both in Manor Cottage. This is an incredible find, i will gladly pay any costs incurred in sending a DVD and something extra for yourself, should you want it, if you could send me one. I'd be very grateful.

    Many regards, D. F

  • this is amazing - i yeach at the school now - is there any more footage?? would love to show the kids xx
