Tracks like this C&C music factory -Pride and CC Pensiotn Finally are immortal for me in terms of better music and better vibe remember it for all the best reasons including the drugs when they worked!
Puts me right back to Equinox in Manchester's gay village in the early-mid 90's. Top club...we were all straight but used to go there cos' it was free of dickheads and scallys....and because gay people are serious party people. Top times.
People actually were happy to see you, met & made so many many good friends in the early 90's .
I'm now reeling after finding all these great tunes posted up.
Can't turn the clock back but boy it's so good to reminisce, I can just loose myself for a few hours and MP3 the lot for playback on the journeys to work.
haha quality bruv... feeling the vibe.. makes me feelin fecking old tho man.. like some dodderin git reminising staring into space on the train... but blatantly feeling u man hahah.. fucked up how things change eh.. ez!
PS-I was referring to "my time " on the scene which was from 1989/90 up until about mid 1996; after that I don't know what happened. OH yes - alcohol had come into the raves and shiny happy people were being replaced by bad-tempered drunks, coke-head security and all of a sudden the atmosphere just wasn't there anymore. Shame!
Man, you are so right. I remember the going to a rave in Oakland and seeing a guy being arrested there for assaulting someone with a bat. It was really the death of the scene for me. How the hell did he get a bat in anyway?! And what happened to the love. Once it became a commercial enterprise, they opened it up to liquor and all the ignorant bastards started showing up hoping to pick up girls high on E. Stopped going to events shortly after that. They are going downhill quickly.
Hard to believe it was 17 years ago - completely different era! ---(I know every generation claims that things were better in their time but it's true!!!) - Respect to all the wonderful people I met at various raves around the country and to the DJs who'd play tunes like this that make the night something really special! Thanks for posting the tune!
