I do that too! but I do it outside in the garage if it's cold.. I find tons of styrofoam in mixed paper roll-offs at a drop off site in town a lot of ppl don't take the styrofoam out of boxes b4 throwing them in the recycling!
i think nail polish remover should do a similar job because i have read what is in that stuff and i saw acetone though i havent tested it i think it should work
