Heard Homestead this year at Cupertino TOB and Logan WBA... I can see why our school's percussion instructors and band director worship their bass drum line :P
@carlsgutekunst The flute solo that I know of is when the guard spins the umbrellas. It seems to be there...Although, if you are talking about something else entirely, or just noticing that the flutes are not as highlighted as they should be, then don't mind me.
@GamerGirlE There's a flute solo from 4:34 to 4:49 that is essentially inaudible on the video. I'm told that's because her microphone wasn't plugged in. The mic'ing on that flute has been a problem all season. I feel really bad for the soloist; the flute players tell me it's a difficult solo.
@carlsgutekunst That's what I was talking about! We always referred to it as the flute solo-I thought it was just a sectionwide highlight section where the entire flute section is meant to shine or something. Oops. I'm in the guard-I only know the words Burn uses to describe the sections of the show, and not always the reasoning behind the music-based reference landmarks.
yeah drumline!!!!!

There were only 22 bands in the upper divisions...but nonetheless. AWESOME last show.

@GamerGirlE: Thanks for the correction; the WBA website actually says 23, so I updated the description.
Definitely the best performance of the year.

@jamieman28: My bad. :-( The other obvious problem is the flute solo is missing entirely; at least that one wasn't my fault.
Fortunately, the Sierra Cup video has both the snare solo and the flute solo.
