Sorry Tim. I was one of the ones telling you to carb up to cure depression. Was only trying to give back to you bro. Sometimes I feel I take so much from you, just wanted and thought you needed help. I realize now that you don't.
As long as you're puttin up vids, I'll be takin from ya man. Thanks, they really help me in many ways. Rock-it brother ! ! !
Awesome advice about taking small steps towards our goals. I've been on my raw food vegan journey for about a year now. I started off slow with just preparing kale salads for lunch every day, after about 4 months I started removing cheese and dairy from my diet, then I started with green smoothies. My journey has been filled with taking steps to reach the next level. Your absolutely right, change does not occur over night it takes time, its a journey.
Hi there, new to your site, found you from Dantheman, I love the message here about being kind to yourself and not set yourself up for failure. Very good words. Have a good time with the climb you are going to do!!!
I will try starting the green jouces and the running outside. The problem is fresh spinaze and green stuff is expensive in our country. 6 dollar for a little bag is normal.
i am sure are, but have to say : Practice your starts Tim, I remember you saying that is where allot of time is lost. keep low, duck under their arms as people will try to pull you back again.
@writerightnow Hi it does work but YouTube won't allow posting entire links. Simply type youtube[dot]com/ then paste watch?v=t1Z_oufuQg4 afterwards and hit enter.
@runningraw right on. I would think you'd be better prepared for the stairclimb if you did some actual stairclimbing though, no? What about running up that stone tower in your town or something?
Obviously your a supurb athlete with a solid game plan, I'm just curious:)
Have a good night, and keep the videos coming man!
I am guilty of making those promises to myself to do more later to make up for lost time only to let myself down by not doing it.. Then the snow ball effect happens and shame, disappointment and guilt take over...but being realistic and setting smaller attainable goals will generate a sense of accomplishment and keep the momentum going... This was some really good advice!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
@fruitangel13 Sometimes going against the flow means going against your first instinct... Slowing down and thinking about things for a moment allows for some clarity and reason, and smaller steps become obvious.
I did my weight workout and cardio today. Not in the morning like normal thus not allowing me 2 cardio sessions. But I did 1 and the weights this late afternoon. I had to jump start myself with 370mg of caffeine to go (twice the normal load) but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get yourself into the gym and not just say "screw it"
That is the spirit. I feel motivated myself just by listening to you.

Hey Tim, there's a great TED talk recently about the battle between making promises to yourself and not keeping them, why, etc: watch?v=t1Z_oufuQg4
I think it would be very useful to yourself, your family member in question and the viewers here. Good luck!
delatroy 2 months ago
@delatroy I cant find it from the ted talks web site with that search. Can you post the full link, or the actual title? Thanks

That makes so much sense! If I double up and try to make up for lost time thus making it harder, that only increases the probability that I'll quit.

@daytonadudenheimer I use a little stair climber machine at home 30 minutes to an hour a day. No actual stairs.
