Well for one most of what you are saying is one sided. In a few comments you've not only discredited Christianity as nothing more than a rip-off of several Pagan religions, but also insulted 83% of the global populus by saying that any person following a religion cannot tell someone else to be sensible.
Also, I never said that Christianity was the "right" religion; I never even said that is was MY religion. You don't have to follow something to know alot about the subject matter.

First off, try and improve your grammar and sentence structure. Use periods. I can't tell when one sentence ends and another begins.
And by your final sentence, it is clear that you are simply arguing that people who may have Theistic beliefs are not sensible. You're not attempting to make a logical argument, you're merely trying to lay blame on a group of people that fall out of your own favor. That, sir, is incredibly one-sided and biased.

Just my definition? Hardly. The commercialization of Christmas over the passed century has made the Coca-Cola image of Santa Claus the figurehead of Christmas. Hundreds of millions of people are actually celebrating a religious holiday while paying no attention to the religion within it. Christmas has become a joke, a mockery of Jesus Christ. I guarantee most, if not all, children in America would associate Santa with Christmas over Jesus because of their parents' idiotic teachings.

To further that notation, yes much of the Bible is derived of other events and happenings. The Red Tide, the idea of cherub-like angels and the way most people portray Satan is remarkably close to a Pagan god of harvest. Hell, even the term "666", the mark of the beast, is plagerized. However, the usage of these events does not take away the great methaphorical context the Bible attempts to bring. I think of the Bible as a "How To.." manual to becoming a better person, not a realistic document.

It also seems you are confused on the "creation" of Christmas. Christmas was not originally a 'holiday', as you seem to have claimed it was created as. Even hundreds of years later, in the times of the Church overtaking Europe, it was regarded as sinful and disrespectful to celebrate Christmas. Only after the commercialization of Christmas, many years later, was it celebrated with joyous festivity as it is today. But that in itself is irrelevant; the symbol of Christmas, to many, is Santa Claus.

Well it is clear that you, like so many others, seem to show an extreme bias against Christianity. I did not claim anywhere that the Bible is the truth, but that Jesus, whether he be the son of God or just a good man as the Jewish see him, did exist. And I have to say to you, do you really believe that Christmas is merely a fabrication developed to 'compete' with other holidays of the time? 2000+ years of faith, and billions of worshippers created out of a lie based on envy? Be sensible.

And when I say 'thousands of pages of text and documents', I mean the Bible. It's no children's book or light reading, it has hundreds of pages. And you have to take into account other religious texts outside Christianity that speak of and recognize Christ.
