They do have this movie in DVD. You can go to a pawn shop or discount store like fye that sells used DVD's. Then maybe one of you can post the entire movie.
I do miss the part where skank gets hit over the head with a shovel. LOL
It would be worthy of mention that this was the last "little" film (so to say) in which Russell Crowe took part; after this, he has only been seen in superproductions.
Funny thing...the Mystery guys look shocked seeing a fight break out between Domi and Langdon- two noted enforcers? That's just not right, considering these guys in the movie eat, breathe, and shit hockey.
The Mystery guys play real hockey, the way real hockey is supposed to be played. The hockey games of today is basically professional wrestling on ice. Isn't the fights what most people go to hockey games for?
Huh? My point is that for a HOCKEY MAD TOWN, they ought to have been watching the sport being played for years and years. Since fighting is a part of the NHL, they should've been accustomed to it, right? Unless this is the first time they're watching an NHL game (highly unlikely, because they KNOW who the NYR are prior to their offer to play them), it seems ridiculous to see these guys look shocked. Agree?
I do not agree. It all depends on what you mean by a HOCKEY MAD TOWN. There's the Hockey Mad Town that watches their favorite team play on TV and live out their lives through their favorite team and never really play the game. Then there's the Hockey Mad Town that actually play the game as it should be played. Do you see many fights in the Olympics. They play real skill not fight hockey.
That'd mean they also watch Euro hockey, but that's never indicated. Yes, they play a free-skating method and play without rules, BUT, they DO KNOW about NYR and they know how big and popular the franchise is. In fact, Russell Crowe's character knows the NHL rules too. My argument is, they know the NHL team and its popularity, which can only arise by watching them play or reading about them. Fights are common in NHL, and so their surprise is a loophole in the script.
I live in Phoenix, AZ and know about the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Coyotes, Suns and the Rattlers. I haven't watched a pro game of any kind in eons. I don't watch much sports, except maybe the Olympics, but I do know about them. I know the rules on baseball, basketball and football and even wrestling from my old school days. The people of Mystery know about the NHL but they don't bother watching because they have their own team to watch. They just got used to playing the real game of hockey.
Okay, you do have a point, but it's still an individual perspective. If you see the movie, the early parts of it show one of its players watching Gretzky play. When Skank Marden is having sex with the Mayor's wife, you see a NHL game running in the background that he's obviously more interested in than the sex.
good work tree you killed him. LOL

Is kevin suppose to be canadian in this or russian. He's using a weird accent.
ANBU625 2 years ago
Probably his natural accent or something. He's not supposed to be Russian.

@ANBU625 Kevin has a French Canadian accent. He was born and raised in Thunderbay, Ontario.
I suspect he was one of the few actors in the movie that really had played hockey.

No shit. Because I'm not uploading the whole movie, just Kevin Durand's scenes, as the title suggests.
