@R0ckForevagurl well you know if you have computer with a good graphiccard and all that and shader 3.0 you should take the high resolution download. But if your computer isnt so good for gaming and has a shitty graphic you should take the standard resoultion also it doesnt take so long as the high resolution. the standard takes like about 3hours and the high resolution about 4-5 hours i took the high resolution and it took me about 4:20 h

It's all about your internet speed, low speed, slow downloading.

Also if you have an older computer, it might take ever longer.

I've been playing D&D and AD&D since the early 80's. This is like a dream come true, although I'm sure it's not as all-encompassing as the good old days of using your imagination. This game is where it all started, people. Without Gary Gygax and TSR there would be no WoW or other such RPG games. Great to see it's survived this long, can't wait to try it out.

I really prefer DDO to world of warcraft, (I played warcraft 3 or so years ago and got pretty bored of the brainlessness of it) but I wish they'd make different starting scenarios for the different classes or races, it gets so repetitive doing the same opening quests for every race.

Korthos island should be for warforged =p, it's only fair because they're so overpowered.

@celtic889 =/ yeah, the biggest problem with WOW to me were that the characters weren't diverse, there was no build constructing, or multiclassing, or much variation based on race. I like planning characters and making unique ones, but all you've got is talents in WOW.

Really I just wish they kept a version of the previous WOW before the updates so that people could play whichever version they wished.

As for my view on D&D, never played the board game but played Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 (Which utilized the ruleset and some of the classes) and that was fun.
