I heard this on the radio once 5 years ago and liked it. But I didn't catch the artist/title. Weeks later, I had it stuck in my head and tried to find out what it was. By then I'd forgotten the words so I just had the melody.

Over the years, I sometimes tried to find it---but it's hard to Google just a melody. I never heard it again on the radio, and it became a lost song for me.

Lucky for me it got popular again because they put it in a movie, so I found it. Life is sometimes kind, right?

Love this video; this song is the story of my life. I can't recall the number of mornings I've flown out my window after my bat-toast, only to find a friendly mob of dancers offering me a free acoustic guitar. I always have to leave through my carnival-deep-freeze-teleporte­r before we finish our jam, so I won't be late to be grand marshal of the merry-go-round. But I did have to get rid of my lamp-toggling plant after it tried to molest my dog.

Feist probably knows the place name from the 80s Musical 'Rock and Roll' written by a guy who played in a band that toured small east coast towns in the 60s - I think he used Mushaboom as a pseud for his hometown (TRURO) so he wouldn't get hassled about the portrayal. Mushaboom is the middle of nowhere. The play was revived in the Ottawa area in 2005
