  • This is the best before and after Corsa video. I wish I could hear it in person. I am so close to pulling the trigger..but I need to hear one in person to know if I'll like the more "raspy" tone over stock. I'd also like to hear how much louder at WOT this thing is over stock.

  • @maegris113233 Thanks for the comment on the video. I wish I could help you with more but we recently traded in the Camaro. I can tell you that I never noticed the "raspy" sound when driving. It's definitely louder than stock at WOT but its not obnoxiously loud. Anything is going to be louder than stock but Corsa is probably on the tame side. I was very happy with the Corsa setup. No droning, sounded good and looked awesome. Those stock trash cans have to go.

  • @tiabmaps Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about trading it off. Yeah, the trash cans on the back annoy me. They just hang there..staring at me. I have it down to either Corsa or the SOLO catback with J-pipes, supposed to not drone and not supposed to make weird noises with AFM (not turning mine off yet, waiting for my Long tubes and a dyno tune for that). I missed a Missouri meet this past weekend due to classes and work. Hopefully I'll be able to hear the Corsa in person soon.

  • @maegris113233 Don't be sorry for me. I traded it for a 2011 Corvette! :) If your not turning of AFM just be sure to get the L99 Corsa (if you go with Corsa). You've pretty much narrowed it down to the same two choices that I did. I think I only went with Corsa because I was more familiar with the name and the installation was a breeze.

  • @tiabmaps Oh boy. The Camaro has been my first real performance car..I can't even imagine what a C6 is like. That must be a blast. Yeah, Corsa has the name and slightly better steel..but everyone seems happy with the SOLO system. Honestly, I wish I could leave the stock system on, minus those damn cans. That's what ruins it for me. I like the tone of the stock, very much, yeah it could be louder at times (thinking Corsa here) but I'd be happy with it as is..minus cans.

  • Thanks for the info and the speedy reply.

  • Also, how complicated is it to disable the AFM? I notice a change in exhaust tone at certain times while I'm driving. Is that because of the AFM?

  • @robojn06 I'd say it's most definitely AFM. That's some annoying crap right there. It's easy to turn off with the DiabloSport Predator tuner. I'm by no means an expert but I don't think you need a tune for a cat-back system. I only got the Predator to turn off AFM. The improved tune was just a bonus. I suggest the forums at the camaro5 and diablosport web sites if you want to get some more educated opinions.

  • I was reading the dialogue you had going with Lestkn2, and I get the impression that you know alot more about these camaros than I do. This may sound like a stupid question, but do you need to a tune when you make modifications to an exhaust system. I have a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS that I just put a Flowmaster AT Cat-back Exhaust system on. I notice that it doesn't seem to handle as smoothly as it did before I had the exhaust modified. Was I supposed to have it tuned afterwards?

  • hey, i like your car... can i steal it? i mean drive it? xd

  • I frigin love the new Cameros. PS I like the Knightlight vid. That's pretty cool.

  • Quick Question so since you have the AFM Turned Off, did you get the corsa exhaust for the L99 w/ Resonators or the LS3 w/o Resonators?

  • @Virudebwoy - LS3 with no resonators. I was unsure about what to do when I ordered the exhaust so I called Corsa. They said that it would be no problem as far as fitment. I decided to go with the LS3 and I've been very happy with it. No droning at all.

  • @tiabmaps did you have to get your predator pretuned before you plugged it in or did you just do all that from the factory settings on the tuner?

  • @Lestkn2 The Predator comes with canned tunes from DiabloSport. It has a "Predator Tune" (93 Octane) and an 87 Octane tune (I think that's right). I loaded the Predator Tune and turned off AFM. That's all I changed. The Predator has logging capabilities that you can use to log your engine performance metrics and send it to people that know what they are doing and they can do a custom tune for you (see the DiabloSport forums). My car is basically stock so I'm fine with the canned tune from DS.

  • @tiabmaps i ordered one today for my LS3 there is a 91 octane on it to . all i got so far is CAI and a hurst short through shifter. i talked to the guy from phastek performance and he sayed that if i add long tube headers then all i have to do is send them my diablo and they will tune it for me and mail it back or i can have then do it over the internet. pretty cool deal.

  • @tiabmaps has the diablo tuner given you any idoling problems?

  • @Lestkn2 None at all.

  • Nice dude, did you do the tune yourself?

  • @Revo21384 - If you count plugging in the Predator, loading the canned,Predator tune and clicking a few buttons to turn off AFM as doing it myself, then yes. So, not really.

  • @tiabmaps Just got a Predator myself second-hand, instructions not included. This is why I ask...

  • @Revo21384 - Ah. You can get the instruction manual from the DiabloSport web site.

  • @tiabmaps Muy grassyass
