  • makes me think of (the video game) Mercury.

  • is this product discontinued? I just cant seem to find it

  • minecraft music. makes me WANT

  • For those of you wondering, the song is called 한번만 울고 말자 by 장혜진 (Jang Hye Jin)

  • it would be nice to have it on your desk below a glass but with a little motor that makes the water run without you having to push the button everytime

  • Watching those water droplets bead so perfectly just made me thirsty...

  • it's kind of like a high tech lava lamp. it's something you stare at for hooouuurrrssss

  • gentlemen

  • I think this would have worked better if the pump was battery operated. Having to hand pump the tank was rather unelegant considering the elegance of everything else.

  • I guess you could call it...(puts on sunglasses) a river dance. YYYYYEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

  • its not relaxing or soothing without music :P

  • seriously, this song is so mellow, i love it!

  • Anyone know the song name?

  • reminds me of mercury

  • was this song called its so soothing

  • What is technology, but a means of creating new ways to entertain ourselves? We humans are selfish beings by nature; if we were to use technology to help others, that is only because it makes us feel good.

However, I say that this is definitely not wasted technology. It is but the initial stages of something much more interesting. A coating of this "Adesso WR" would completely water-seal an object, and make liquids that run down it move much faster. This could be the newest spaceship coating.

  • or boat hulls, raise efficiency

  • so, what is the wheel, powerplants? not help us be more efficient? for entertainment?

  • COOL STORY, BRO

  • I got this, it´s awesome.

  • Its actually very amusing and pet fish rock

  • It uses hydrophobic coating to bounce the water around. it is useful technology.

  • Pet fish is fucking awesome!

  • Call me stupid, but I don't see where nanotechnology is being utilized in any significant way here. It's like saying robotics is being used in the old water pump dolphin ring toy I had when I was little. When I think of the immediate use of nanotechnology I thin of the X-files where the guy had the remote control and caused nanites to flood Skinner's bloodstream.

  • nano technology-ish bit of this will most likely be the surface finish of the basin. The concept of water repelling finish is easy but to make water bead/glide with low mu is not an easy task.

  • No such thing as waste of technology :), sometimes the technology comes before a good use is found for them. Plus its just applying a coating, doubt its costing them much to make these.

  • dos it only go to the left 0:18 to 0:24

  • are there any other websites that sell stuff like this?

  • yes vat19 go check em out and on youtube also.

  • So cool!!

  • Ahh I see now, they may have edited the description because there was no reason for nano mentioned before, so what do the nano-infused sheets do? Couldn't you achieve this without it?

  • Further research says that the surface is basically like this probably to reduce friction or add it in the right spots to make more chaotic and quicker motion than normally possible. A slicker surface was demonstrated on another model that made the substance move more freely like mercury. That's the nano-technology. A slicker than normal surface. I wonder how this could be used for other purposes.

  • @Makron5 Ewww I thought of something wrong. X(

  • It seems they repel the water so its beads up. You could possibly do this by spraying scotchgard on a piece of plastic sheet also.

  • mayeb thats what they covered it with lol

  • Im sold when that thing becomes electric.. not a fan of the pump

  • Dude..

    Thats ultimate laziness.

  • lol i don't think so .. thats like super cool but like .. im just not a fan of the pump haha

  • thats what she said

  • fill it with mercury

  • where's the nano?

  • On the surface. There is layer which stay dry.

  • LOL you are not supposed to see nano cuz it is.. very small

  • I was saying that there seems to be nothing related to nano-tech in it. It looks like something that has no relation to the word nano at all.

  • sweet!

  • very cool!

  • hmmm thats pretty clean!!

  • not my favorite

  • ? BORING

  • Then why are you watching?

  • hes bored

  • so magical.

  • that is so sick

  • Now it would be cool if they made it into like a mini water cooler where instead of the water going into a reserve it goes into your cup.

  • im pretty sure they wouldnt be stupid enough to do that, it goes in more than one direction

  • not really if you saw the thing were the water comes out you can switch it around if not yea a fail. still cool toy tho

  • sickkkk

  • meh...would be fun for a few minutes and then collecting dust ....not for me

  • awesomee

  • reminds me of some Japanese gameshows.

  • relaxing :D

  • cool

  • awesome

  • Ahh, beautiful.
