Personally, my position on the existance of Bigfoot is "Probably Not". I'm an agnostic towards Bigfoot, but i think there's like a 25% chance that he exists. So, probably not. However, I have even LESS belief in paranormal researchers like ghosthunters.

If it was a joke it would have been one of the most sly subtle and dry jokes ever told, especially given the absurdity of the topic. It probably still would have gone over most peoples heads. But the fact that it was an actual news story, meant to inform the public is an outrage.

It seems that there is no story too ridiculous to be believed by someone: and the more absurd it is, the more certain lame reporters and editors will latch on to it and repeat it for entertainment value.
