  • I am in the process of having a 350 built (no more L98, cracked block) with a CompCams Cam, Flat Top Pistons, Dual Roller Rocker Timing Chain, Flat Tapet Valves, 1.6 Stainless Roller Rocker's, all new internally on the heads as far as valves & springs etc, new ECM chip being made to match the Cam etc. My question is, with so many of us doing this, are you able to pass smog? The company who is making the chip says yes but until I get it on the machine I won't know.

  • @Lonewolf36 depends a lot on the camshaft and intake, as far as i know the Lingenfelter Super Ram and Lingenfelter 219 cam were smog legal and i have no problems with it , log into Corvetteforum for more info thanks Wolf !

  • @tvr2120 Thanks. I am an old Corvette Forum guy but haven't takenthe time to look anything up of late. Busy getting this new motor built.

  • @Lonewolf36 I'll wait you there !

  • I need help with what i should buy for mine. Id like to keep the tpi setup and not go to a ram setup. any advice?

  • @stageman420 what's your budget ? tpi can be ported to gain a couple more horsepower or you can get an aftermarket solution from TPIS or Arizona Speed & Marine, google this terms : "TPI SHOOTOUT" and you will get a nice article that Super Rod Magazine made a few years ago,it's one of the best things ever, that leaded me to choose the Super Ram setup

  • Damn wish my L98 looked like that.

  • @stageman420 thank you

  • @tvr2120 I do have a few questions tho, When you installed the Roller rockers and super ram, Did you put in a custom prom? and exhaust?

  • @jimmykudo23 Yes,i got the tune from pcmforless and i used Datamaster to monitor everything,i have 1 5/8 Longtube hedman headers and many more mods. Join Corvetteforum !

  • Do you have a "how to" install video? Those look nice!

  • @PaintballOO7 No i don't have it , but its the same procedure inverted, once you adjust valves, you lock the position with the small allen nut.
