Just saw her in London(The Barbican) last Sunday 24th July.

Amazing performance -ran thru' the songbook that everyone wanted to hear.

Backed up by The Professionals.Her voice and diction at 70 is as strong,soulful and plaintive as it was all those years ago.

One to remember, with The Impressions at the same venue last month.

A soulful summer.Next up in November Aaaron Neville.

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Irma Thomas at the Bayfront Blues Festival last August. She was a headliner, and did not disappoint! So immensely talented, and she can cross any genre of music and perform with perfection!!! I would love to go see her in her new music venue down in New Orleans, when it gets built.

This is a beautiful song by a wonderful entertainer. She deserved a bigger career along the likes of Aretha and Diana Ross but the 60's rock bands derailed her. Go see her if you ever have the chance.
