I am really disappointed in this, and the other Spider-Man titles for the DS. Since they ARE 3D (with 2D gameplay), they COULD have made it freeroam, and with third person perspective. Why did they have to make it a sidescroller like this?

I really think Spider-Man should always be freeroaming. It just doesn't work otherwise. You're suppose to feel free. Like Spidey. (ahem... he is the opposite of free. *facepalms* But I meant feel like you just run, swing and fly around freely... yeah.)

yeah, i reallly don't see how this got a better rating than the 360, ps3, ps2, and psp versions. they are all free-roamers, and in my opinion better. i bought the second spiderman game for the ds once, and as soon as i played it, i litteraly almost through up and returned it within five minuits of playing it.....

Anyway, the DS already has a bunch of impressive games, from a technical stand-point. And I mean, even those freakin' Transformers game are open-world, and from an over-the-shoulder perspective. While they do pretty much blow, they show that is theoretically possible. Looking at Super Mario 64 DS, some of those stages are pretty big. Again, that shows something.

I think most developers just didn't have what it takes - or they shat out titles for easy money.

Personally, my Spider-Man fandom comes and goes like a hooker. :P All in all I would consider myself a certain fan, but I have my periods where I am crazy about everything-Spider-Man, but a week or two later it has passed. Same with TMNT. Same with most things, actually... which I hate.

These games aren't bad for what they are, anyway. I do like platformers and beat 'em ups (this seems to fall somewhere between). Wasted potential is all.

Yeah,this game is very good :D (Thought the gameplay is a bit complicated but after a while you get used to it and it's not so complicated anymore),the game is short but it's very fun :D.
