They treat me, and I end up getting a bill for about $100 (co-pay). An illegal goes to the ER and they ask for their insurance card - they have none. They get treated and get no bill. Next time I go to the ER, I'm just going to say I'm an illegal and I will have no co-pay! (Did you know 1/3 of pregnancies on medicaid are to illegals?)

Doctors are held up to an ethical code where they're supposed to treat everyone who goes to the hospital. Illegals go to the ER, which is expensive and they don't pay. They are responsible for closing over 80 hospitals in California since the 80's and increasing the cost of medical care.

Exactly right. This is how mu insurance works: I have good health insurance thru a large employer. I go to the ER and they ask me for my insurance card. They treat me, and I end up getting a bill for about $100 (co-pay). An illegal goes to the ER and they ask for their insurance card - they have none. They get treated and get no bill. Next time I go to the ER, I'm just going to say I'm an illegal and I will have no co-pay! (Did you know 1/3 of pregnancies on medicaid are to illegals?)

The same sort of situation exists with SCHIP, the States "Children's" Health Insurance Program. The democrats included no penalties for filing false information, and allocated no funds for enforcement. Just submit fake information and if your identity is ever questioned, you have 60 days to submit new (fake) information... during which you continue to receive medical care. Illegals even get 1st priority because they have a "cultural or linguistic barrier" hindering their access to treatment.

I cant believe Obama told a flat out lie to congress. HR 3200 has provisions for illegal immigrants, and illegal immigrants are continuously referred to under the "50 million that are uninsured" tag line the far left keeps using.
