Hi, I'll be traveling to SA in September 2011. I want to address the audience by asking them (rhetorically) "Why are you here?" . I want to do this in Afrikaans and Xhosa. Can you help?
...On the other hand I could comprehensively insult you in one or more of Swedish, German or French, but Im not into behaving like a schoolgirl sniggering with her friends in the corner about some in joke. Id rather say it to your face so you get the drift you inbred ignorant dutch twat.
thanks for your video, please upload more,my spanishspeaking daughter is visiting next month her afrikaans grandfather and grandmother-see my video of brigitte norval learning to drive a car and me speaking spanish with an afrikaans accent-with your 22 000 views its worth uploading more afrikaans videos
@Jeandre22 Did I say my language was cool?? I was going to a rugby match once and this fat moustachiod Boer...You know the stereotype??...was walking past all the people having barbecues and observed very loudly in afrikaans "The pigs are eating" to which I shouted "Looks like youve already had yours you fat fuck". To which he challenged me to a fight which I accepted. I lamped the fat cunt with the first shot. So you see it pays to be careful in Europe.....
@chanctonbury63 i understand that you get really nasty boer tipe of people. Its our country that makes us this way. But not all of us are bad people. The most of us are really friendly. We just defent ourself because the other race wants us dead (if you know what is going on in our country). Have you ever been to S.A. I would really love to visit Europe one day. It looks like a really beautiful place.
@Jeandre22 Yes I have been to SA. I spent a week being lectured as to why it was the greatest place in the world. Which it isnt. Thats why there are 400,000 of you assholes in my country. Incidently do you ever wonder quite why your country is up shit creek?? Ill give you a clue. Maybe if youd invested a few of those apartheid rand in educating your black compatriots instead of treating like shit you might have a country worth living in. Its your bed. You made it. You lie in it.
@chanctonbury63 In the first place i didnt even live in the apartheid.Well i was born but were still a little baby then.So dont lecture me on apartheid.Secondly what money are you talking about? You should do your research a bit better. Nobody took money from nobody. The land was devided between everybody. If it wasnt for us they would probably still be happy with bows and arrows and fire. So please go and do your research first.
@Jeandre22 A very large part of your population is in permanent denial. You did fuck all for those people. If you were a little baby then how come you know so much about it. I used to live there. Stop talking out of your ass.
@chanctonbury63 I live here everyday ofmy life.My mom told me everything and books dont lie.So stop being an asshole to me.I dont talk to you that way.I just trying to let you understand. So fuck of.
@Jeandre22 I live in pretora for that matter. And they critized our rae so why not critized their race. Me and my mom was rped by 6 black guys when i was still young so i will hate them for the rest of my life. This government doesnt even bother to catch them, but when the white man does something wrong its front page news....
Oh and sorry if I sound rude or whatever. You're doing a great job. hehe Thanks for teaching people afrikaans. Ek is baie lief vir my moedertaal! xxxxx
hi this is great, ive been trying to learn basic pronouciation for a while this really helped!
i'd reeeeally appreciate it if you could make a video teaching how to say 'i love you' as ive translated it several times and keep getting different answers, and none of them tell me how to pronounce it. i hope you can help, i'd love to be ale to tell my boyfriend 'i love you' in his native language!
@L3XIE45 I love you can be said in different ways here. Like 'Ek is lief vir jou" or 'Ek Het jou lief" or in sorter sentences " Lief vir jou" or Lief jou baie.

you're awesome !! how do i say that in afrikaans? my mother speaks it and i would like to learn it. the pronounciations look a bit harder tho. bia donkey! :)
Hey buddy well when you say "my" it's alot like pronouncing the month of MAY. They are both correct but thats the best way i can descride it....... and ek is as it is spelled EK not ik some south africans would say ik but that just falls down to thier accent.
hi deino, i wil make a video with me explaining all the sounds and everything in about 2 days, just give me some time, and i have asked what words everyone wants in lesson 2, but no one responded
My fiance is from durban south africa. He speaks a lot of Afrikaans but his first language is english. At our wedding I would like to surprise him and be able to say "you are my one true love, my heart, my soul, and now my husband. I love you. I'm yours, forever and always." If you could translate that for me I would be forever greatful.
Hello, I found this video very helpful. When would you be putting up video 2? Maybe for your next video you could pronounce a few words with the vowels that you introduced in this video. Also maybe you could teach how to pronounce the "X" sound and the "G" sound and how to roll the "R" sound. Just a few suggestions. Have a great day.
Wel your afrikaans is good, but you are making some grammer mistakes, "omdat ek het dit geleer van my oupa" is wrong, you can say "omdat ek het dit geleer van my oupa Af" or "omdat ek dit geleer het" any words you want translated in lesson 2?
