They seriously don't know the true weight of lions, where I live in South Africa they shot a man eater lion over 700lb, and the average male lion is over 550lb. not 400.

@DonChilenito You're thinking of the saber toothed creodonts and the catlike nimravids, neither of which were cats. Also there was the sabrer toothed marsupial Thylacosmilus of South America. But all those of the genus Smilodon were true cats or felines.
