  • Everybody who wants the removal of these poxy adverts at the beginning of videos mark this video as a Dislike and never watch the crap again.

Do the same wherever you see a video with an advert that either requires you to skip or forces you to watch and wait. We can't let the Internet go this way.

  • great riffs

  • Guns N' Roses filler track.

  • @richievegas01 James Dean Bradfield sounds nothing like Axel Rose.

  • @MrTJK1992 He doesn't sing like Axl no, but his guitar work sounds a hell of a lot like Slash's.

  • his top lip hardly moves when he sings this in the video or rather mimes it

  • @f4honour

    He's British

  • I love the fact this song is just one big guitar solo. Best guitar riff I ever heard.

  • Severn View Service Station, February 17, I gona ride and ride. I am the passenger. You and your Motorcycle r 1.

    gerardos300@hotmail.com

  • Fantastic song by the most under-rated British band ever. Genius songwriting, arrangement and performance.

  • @simon007mc I agree...lets not forget they are from wales....for too long we have been ignored and for too long london has talked at Britain and not with it

  • All the comments on here sum it up - too good to call

  • All comments on here sum it up perfectly - too good to call

  • Whenever my mid-life crisis begins, I know what my anthem will be

  • Castro's Favourite Rock Band.

  • @theEdrye whil i dont like castro for his form of hierarchial government....its amazing that cuba is the only self sufficient food producing country lol

  • @3tangle3 Indeed.

    Salve, CYMRU !!

  • "Life lies a slow suicide

    Orthodox dreams and symbolic myths

    From feudal surf to spender

This wonderful world of purchase power"

    Pure poetry, best lyrics ever

  • @yoursir100 Feudal serf mate, serf. They are good lyrics though.

  • @povmcdov Yh sorry just clocked :/

  • @webster670 Oh yh, woops, sorry

  • @yoursir100 Not to take anything away from him, but he genuinely 'borrowed' those lyrics (and some obvious others) from a poem called 'Neon Loneliness' - pure poetry indeed!

  • @StanLDN Absolutely true. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the poem was written by Nicky Wire (bassist)'s brother.

  • @ukflissuk Good knowledge!

  • @StanLDN Big fan Lol x Have been since the mid 1990s :) Fell out of it for a bit, only just rediscovered their music again recently, found myself knowing every single lyric Lol x Their music is genius, its timeless. Love it! xox

  • @StanLDN haha wow, i love finding out facts like that about songs

  • CONCERT AT THE O2 WAS BLOODY SICK!

  • To była kapela ... ehh..

  • this songs been stuck in my head for years and years, I dont think I'll ever get it out, but im fine with that :D

  • Going to see these saturday

    sooooo pumped!!!

  • Awesome song.....though long version is even better

  • story of my life. 90s fuck yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh

  • Can't think of many better ways to spend around 5 minutes...

  • wow, two lines from the last verse got censored?

drive away and it's the same

    "everywhere death row / everyone's a victim"

...living life like a comatose (and so on)

you cannot mention death row in america or what?

  • is it just me or do early manics bear a passing resemblance to depeche mode? and was it intentional?

  • @blindingsun

Your name is very apt.. think you have been looking at it for too long or need glasses-how can you compare MSP to DM? Dave Gahan bares no resemblance and as for the others??

Both groups are unique in their own way, but Depeche Mode far outweigh the Manics in style.....

  • Wow, did not recognise JD. I didn't discover them till about a decade after this when I was about 14/15. Used to love Indie which seems to have just fallen off the earth now??

  • nice song, stupid saloon-commie band.

  • god is it strange that i get a raging boner from the lead singer?

  • @TheGarryModder not if your gay it aint

  • Youretyingiziert

  • What I like is the Cher Lloyd ad underneath...

  • Vevo, why don't you fuck off with the ad's. If I wanted to watch plastic gangsters and shitty manufactured girl bands I would revert back to being 12 again.

  • WEIRD! There is an advert at the beginning of this video...

  • makes me cry...music is only worth it if its meaningful

  • i like it but they re prob left wing intellectuals which puts me off them ,they live vastly different lives ,great melody though.Should come with lyrics could be in welsh for all i can hear except for the corus (thats a kind of joke but sort of true at the same time.

  • Drop a cog, go full to the stop, but away from that seven bridge coz it can hurt you.

  • One of the most beautiful songs of all time.

  • James Dean Bradfield was/still is the handsomest man in rock.. period..

  • the reason it doesnt have many views...is for some reason they never broke into US fully

  • @3tangle3 you tube is not only for american people!

  • Great band

  • It seems this is Osaka... Beautiful place... Great restaurants too.

  • @cignation

I think it's Tokyo because of the Tokyo Tower and I saw Tokyo in Japanese(Chinese) character at 3:49...but maybe some parts are from other places, not so sure.

  • THE KILLERS 80'S?

  • People complaining about this song, the title of the song, have obviously never listened to the album it comes from.

  • Frankly I think something should be done to stop the older generation jumping on the younger. Young people have got it right - they are paedos.

  • @Mr1DanSmith wtf

  • Great song shame about the lyric 'Motorcycle Emptiness' - It sounds sooo Motorhead. All leathers and urine soaked denim jackets. Why didnt they pen 'Burning Emptiness' or 'Crying Emptiness' something more heartfelt would have opened this song to a larger audience.

  • @hamptonwickster its because its on your own lonely journey like on a motorbike at night on a long road

  • @3tangle3 Exactly my point . . . .sounds like something Meatloaf would pout out. Tender feelings of lonliness mixed with the internal combustion engine in my opinion dont really go. 'Drive my car - The Beatles' or 'Magic Bus - The Who' are naturally excluded from this edict.

  • @hamptonwickster ok but still the lyrics are far more politically charged than any small talk meatloaf has released

  • This is London?

  • @Metalehiro this is wales

  • Apparently, on 4:24 Mr. Bradfield mortally insulted poor japanese guy by touching his head, usually leads to seppuku.

  • When i hear this song i just want to get up and drive far away from all the troubles in life! Such a perfect end credits tune-life end credits...

  • I accuse her for inspiration!)

  • now now it`s a fact that sophia coppola steals ideas :D (lost in translation obviously)

  • this is one of the best songs ever written (in my opinion)

  • @togar1878 Dude, opinion and fact have a massive difference, this isn't just your opinion, it's fact!

  • "From feudal serf to spender. This wonderful world of purchase power"

Still true today even with the few improvements the 'big men' have made...

  • such a talented band

  • Could someone please explain to me why this band is successful? Must be because of the sophomoric pop consumers buying this musical offal. The manic street preachers are to quality music what dog turd is to toothpaste.

  • @markpub Mmmm interesting . . . now do one, you minge.

  • @slapayid 'slapayid'? Nuff said.....

  • @slapayid great reply hahahaha what a dick that guy is ay

  • @creationsteppa2008 oooh slapayid, please keep bumming me, you're so good!

  • @markpub lol Great reply.. how old are u kid??

  • @markpub Please go away and make a piece of music that is better than this and then i will except your criticism u random nobody lmao

  • @creationsteppa2008 I've never shat on your mum but I could still criticise it.

  • @markpub cool

  • @creationsteppa2008 "cool"?...how old are u kid?

  • @markpub oh we have got a parrot, bored of you.. silly old negative waster.....

  • @creationsteppa2008 great reply, well done.

  • check out The Blue Collars!!!

  • so underrated , why do great bands not get enough praise and shite gets thrust on our screens and radio's for years ?!? WRONG WRONG WRONG

  • @bensimps123 pffft, bullshit problem....the prob is the little attention tey get, not praise, they wont the fuckin GOD-like genius NME award in 2008....

  • Sounds like something Meatloaf would put out? It really, really doesn't... unless all you take from the song is the word 'motorcycle'. As for shite on the TV and Radio... useless advertising dreams, blinding children...

  • I can't stop listening :) great :) one of the best MSP songs

  • Does anyone else notice the similarities between this video and the film Lost in Translation? Examples: in the hotel room Nicky's asleep on the bed; Richey sitting on the window seat staring out at the city; Sean flicking endlessly through the TV channels; the rain and umbrellas; the band seeming lost and disconnected despite being surrounded by masses of people-all very similar to Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannson in the film. Maybe Sofia Coppola used was 'inspired' by this video??? Great song

  • fcking epic band period, they have stood the test of time, they were very young here, and are still going stronger than ever, after dire straits they's boys are my number 2 band of all time

  • Where's "Everywhere death row, everyone's a victim" ?

  • @sagan1976 was cut out in the video edit cause its too long :L

  • this is one of the greatest songs ever! too bad richey did whatever he did, i think they would've been a lot more bigger and commercially a lot more successful if richey stuck around...but great tune nonetheless!

  • What album is this off?

  • @mrjburton Generation Terrorists :)

  • thats a lota umbrellas!

  • Manic are the reason i love Welsh!

  • I'm not this band's biggest fan but you can't deny this guy has a strong voice with a good range.A classic guitar riff this one...not easy to come up with riffs like this so fair play to them!.Good melody and lyrics.

  • Richie is alive and well and running a bed and breakfast establishment in Perranporth, Cornwall, England.

  • @PriapicPan o man cornwall is not england.....the english state has enough land taken since 5th century ad from the brythonic peoples let the cornish and welsh have the scraggy remains.

    I am cornish never english

  • @3tangle3 are you richie? claiming a new ID?

  • @MrBewls Solidarity with the working man :P

  • @3tangle3 oh ffs you stupid idiot haha cornwall IS part of england you plank

  • @bensimps123 you say that knowing nothing of cornish history, you are the thick plank....stop being a brainwashed person and maybe pick up a history book? Have you studied law? there is no written constitution in the UK so your claim is baseless..cornwall may be an assumed county in 1814 (did you know about the 1814 county reform?) but its still a duchy, the duchy is a legacy of the normans who let the cornish pay tribute in return for keeping some autonomy..cornish = cultural brothers of welsh

  • @bensimps123 give me references to your claims or get lost imperialist child
