You've got a long way to go kid. Let's start with the crankbait. You do not throw fire tiger in the winter. Clear and cold water means very lethargic and picky bass. Stick to craw colors. Dark brown, dark reds, etc. As for depth, the only time you are going to throw a crank is around rocks or wood that absord heat from the sunlight. That means 8 ft. at the deepest. And action, you are totally backwards. The colder the water, the tighter the wobble you want. And where is the football jig????????
Also, try this. Heat shrink tubing and nail-weights affixed to the hook / body befit a more naturalistic image when your inclination is to adhere extra weight to a spinnerbait. If the lure's hook isn't of enough span to allow for such an addition, use your wire approach, but applied under the skirt. It’s more discrete. Keep the vids coming!
Dude, don't SOLELY advocate wide-wobbling cranks for winter fishing... cranks w/ inherently tighter actions are generally a better option for winter scenarios. It's largely a function of catering to the metabolisms of both the Bass and their forage items. There's a reason that the No. 5 Shad Rap is held w/ such reverence for cold-water applications... Tight-wobbling baits actually are extremely well suited to slow retrieves, but more robust baits will work too :)
This kid is a dipshit for one he forgot the main go to bait in the winter for all bass fishermen that know whats up and that is a jig and stick baits and he calls that spinnerbait a boyaah spinnerbait it is clearly a 99 cent piece of shit spinnerbait and i am willing to bet the bigest bass hes ever landed was a 3 lber lol nice try kid but you aint got the real bass fishermen fooled i will give you a little credit you have some of the basic winter time baits.
@thejosh1115 Ok first off this video is over a year old. In that time I have grown a successful lure custom lure company, maintained a 300,000 view Youtube channel, and helped tons of people catch their big bass or just great numbers of decent fish. My record bass is almost 10lbs, actually went 9.6. All of this and I'm not even 16 yet. Look around before you talk smack man.
@Fishingallday31 son dont bring your self to this level...you did fine...we can tell your young and yet have some good lures.baits..and btw...i will take that red and white spinner bait and match anyone on the Potomac river in VA..any day of the week.now i have to admit i never fished a senko on a jig head.OH wait..he said you didn't talk about them..oh yes you did. :-) but i will try it,doesn't sound right by hey i try anything.but also try the jerk bait [luckycraft pointer]
You don't have to use wire I like to just smash it together with pliers and if the blade catches on the hook I just bend it about half inch from the bend. It also adds action.
that helped alot...i went fishing, dident catche anything then i went to bass pro shop and bought some brush hogs, went to the same pond and caught 12 small bass and a 4 pounder.thnx for ur advise it paid off,
not really true about big meals in winter. can be, but when the water starts getting really cold (<40 degrees), cold-blooded animals can't digest their food, so they have to stick to small stuff. smallie beaver, senko cut in half with a little half-moon jig, hair jigs can be really good.
You need to hire a producer and an editor. This would have been a pro-quality video with a better camera angle. You hands blocked half the shots and you were holding the bait out of the camera view in the other half. Seriously you obviously know your fishing, get someone to help you with the video and you'll go far on youTube.
hey dude i love the info last year i was just slow rolling a red booyah crainkbait by a fallen down tree at a local lake and caught the biggest bass of my life 5 pounds and like 8 ounces this stuff really works
Lots of really good info! Thanks! Obviously, when you watch it again, the camera angle keeps me from seeing what you're talking about (small detail, but really makes a difference). Thanks for doing such a great job.
just buy huddlestone swimbaits trout color. use 20 to 25 lb test line on a extra heavy rod and a shimano calcutta 400. and your good to go use a slow steady retrieve nd hang on man!!! fuck this loser he dont know what the fuck hes talking about.
@ContrerasKiller310 I have a couple huddlestons, but most lakes that people fish do not have stocker trout like the SoCal region. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.
i tryed ur tecnichs and the f*****g suck GO OUT AND GET A BERKLEY HAVOC PIT BOSS JUNE BUG IT WORKED GREAT IN ABOUT 55 IN A POND IN VA

@tahneebrooke I appreciate the tips, never tried the shrink tubing. I will have to try it this summer when I fish spinnerbaits down deep. Thanks!
