As for your comments - you're entitled to your opinion - there is more than 14 years difference in age between her and SB - let's see how Susan sounds when she has been performing and delighting audiences for 40 years.

I have been lucky enough to see this great lady in concert 3 times, 2004, 2006 and recently at this concert to celebrate her 40 years in ther business. You simply cannot compare an artist who has dedicated a "life time" to performing professionally to Susan Boyle.

Susan,I can see why,after listening to all of Elaine Page's performances,you see her as a type of mentor. She is very good,and deserves our respect. I was at the concert and Elaine was amazing that night. It is a shame that noone has posted the 'Piaf' section of this concert - she was SENSATIONAL!!. Voices change over time and Elaine herself agrees that her voice is now deeper than before. What can never be taken away is talent and Elaine has this in spades along with a huge career. If SB has a career a tenth as successful as Elaine's she will be incredibly lucky.

Ellein Page is terrible singing this song...I want to turn off half way through the song..Susan sings this version much much better, she sings with emotion and I listen to it again and again and I don't get tired. As a singer, her commitment, passion and respect for music and fellow musicians has taught many (young and old) what being a "pro" is all about. Undoutedly she has influenced many undiscovered talents who's dream is to walk-on with the confidence and poise of Elaine Paige and stand center-stage.

Elaine Paige is my favourite singer. I think she hit her peek in terms of her vocal range when she was in her fifties. It's a pity that women, as we age, tend to develop lower voices. It's just a normal process of aging. It's so hard for famous singers, because we still expect them to sing our favourites, even though their voices have changed over the years.

I hope Elaine doesn't change her face with too much cosmetic surgery. She has so much natural beauty. I just hope she doesn't spoil it.

What I really appreciated with Elaine's interview with Larry King recently (due to Susan Boyle) was how she mentioned that perhaps Susan has re-opened the door for older or more mature singers. Near 50 myself, I find that there are few younger vocals (no matter how good) that I like in the sence of being able to relate to the song. Therefore I for one would welcome the trend if it should occurr. Us boomers are still the majority and I don't believe as tight as the depression generation.
