Great tune. But why the slam on capitalism? The top 1% are the ones creating 90% of the jobs for the rest of us. The top 1% bust their butts to get what's rightfully theres. That's called the American dream. Do we strip the top 1% of their wealth, then strip the next 1%, then the next? Soon, we have have the same - nothing left to aspire to.
No land is anybodies, natives didn't even claim it was theres. Yes, indeed what happend to natives was/is wrong, but the point of the song is that the land is peoples land, not owners land, as it is now. People, rich people at that, own a lot of land and resources. So indeed, Jamaicans, as slaves, know what owners are, so they can write or sing about what ever they want. This song is about ownership. Get it? This land was made for people, not just a few. Obviously you don't know the CONTEXT!
