I tried to learn to play bass like Geddy Lee but that turned into a major fail, no matter how hard I tried I could never replicate his sound or feeling behind his basselines nor could I replicate the amount of movement he puts into each bassline.. what a great song!!

I like Rush and other band that play that music, and other bands from that era, but not all music these days suck. I grew up in the 90's, and they brought us such amazing bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo fighters, Sonic Youth, etc.; Mainly what I'm saying is that old music is awesome, but not all modern music is bad, and saying that makes you sound stupid, and unappreciative of music in general. And with the internet, it is not hard to find different kinds of music.

If you older folk want to find something both good and new- try Coheed & Cambria or Cheeseburger. Bands don't need to be old to be good, you're just not looking in the right laces.

Rush is one of the best bands around, but people have to stop posting comments about how good music just stopped being made somewhere in the mid 90s and no one today can make something great. @CK3890 Yeah I guess there is some good music. I found a band called Neon Trees and I liked that. I'm at a point now where everyday I try out another band I haven't listened to yet. At this point I have a list of over 50 bands that I like. Most of them started in the 70's but there are a few who became popular in the 90's such as Blues Traveler and Creed. Unfortunately it is a little difficult to find good progressive rock bands like Yes and Rush these days. I'll keep looking for good music.
