That song is intended for a GROWN woman, not a little 10-year-old girl who aspires to sing like Sarah Brightman. Jackie's best performance was of Pie Jesu, she NAILED that song brilliantly!

CC is vry much a lady (c how she speaks + smiles with a li'l bit of sarcasm which I think is great, lol). A lady who's never afraid finishing her "opera thing" ahahaha. I don't think she was being rude when she said "the rapping thing". It kinda looked though that WJ tried outstaging CC (but not his intention) and seemed WJ got the applause from the audience.
Charlotte will still be 1 of my fave sopranos (together with Maria Callas) & I hope she'll make another classical album soon. <3

disagree, she didnt make anyone to be quiet just showed that she was not finished and wyclef kept ttrying to interupt throughout, then did which is kinda rude, when she said "rapping thing" she was not being rude thats just her accent. and the rap was crap anyway, she did well to not loose her nerve and finish her performance.

Actually I read her biography and she sed her bit was planned and his wasn't, he interupted and she felt like an idiot ... thats why she sed 'that rapping thing' and finished her bit.... she was also only 12 years old so forgive me for not wanting to 'punch her in the throat'

are you idiot?! Everyone who goes to an opera knows you CANNOT clap in the middle of the music, its wrong, makes them loose the concentration, make the loose the rhytmic because the claps mute the orchestra, and its a RULE of the opera, she just did what was right to do

I would like to hear Charlotte Church sing more gospel music or something more operatic. The woman' was gifted at an early age and became an absolute phenomenon when we first heard her sing as a child.

I totally agree, charlotte is the best, rap is not real music, it is just saying things in a fast way and with rimes, but to sing opera however is a task that juts some people have the talent for, charlotte rulez!, wyclef sucks....

actually rap was created on Cuba by people that wasn´t able to sing but wanted to express there self against their political situation, they wanted so bad to express their thoughts so they created rap music and because they wasn´t able to sing they did rimes with "rhythm".

actually rap was created in africa from the spoken word praises to their gods, as well as combined with the rhymes with rhythm that where created in cuba. its a multi cultural thing, that has developed much like other types of music has, and should be respected just as well. Just because its not your type of music you like dosent mean you should bash it.
